Novas ears perk up to Mikas voice, he sighs slightly and stands up opening the door to see Mika, "Y-yes Mika?"

Miles

Miles shrugs, surprisingly calm. "Well, not here. But other places. I think the record is 5 months, we were on an ice planet hunting someone down, they were hiders and I don't like the cold." His nose scrunched up at the thought. "She went out after getting me set up at the base and she went into radio silence. At the end, when she found him, she contacted me with the comm on her wrist and we took him down together."

Mikaelan

Mika keeps her eyes down, sheepish. "The midday meal will be served soon." She chirps.

Nova nods and shuffles slightly, "Mika, I um... I-I sorry about earlier, I hope you aren't upset with me"

Ivy tilted her head, still looking up at him. "And that's normal for you guys? I didn't have any siblings, but I think I'd at least have been worried if I never heard anything from them."

Miles

Miles shakes his head and for a moment something like regret passes over his face. "We're not just siblings." He murmurs. "We're hunters." He shakes his head, and his smile returns. "Born and raised." He says sheepishly.

Mikaelan

Mikaelan shook her head softly. "I'm not upset." She said softly, but kept her head down shyly.

Ivy was still confused about what he meant by that. She opened her mouth to ask something, but stopped, sensing that he didn't really want to tal about it. Instead she asked, "Do you have any other exciting stories, like the dragon one?"

Nova looked at her and sighed, "I know I'm horrible at reading people, but you look upset"

Miles nods slowly. "I have lots of stories." He says, smiling. "Did you want to hear about an animal hunt or a bounty?"

Mikaelan

"I'm not." Mika says, more assured now. "I-I just wanted to tell you about lunch." She lifts her eyes; they look fearful, like she thinks he's going to get mad at her.

Ivy thought for a minute. "Um, I think I'd rather hear about the animal ones. They seem like they'd be more interesting to listen to," she said.

Miles

Miles leans back in his chair, crossing his arms, and thinks for a long moment, poking through his stories for an interesting one. After a moment he nods to himself. "When Mei and I were very young, we always tried to hunt things to impress our parents. It was a contest, whoever caught more at the end of the day would be the winner and our parents would congratulate them and talk to them about the hunt. Our parents knew about it, they didn't like it, and they tried to give us both praise but we always knew when we lost and we don't like losing." He laughs softly. "One day, I was sure I was going to win. I set a million traps, I hunted lots of prey, and at the end of the day I came home with my arms full of what I had caught." He shakes his head now. "Mei needed a wheelbarrow to carry what she had brought in. That was the day our little contest got serious."
