Wow ya managed to waste an entire donut that could've fed a homeless animal in the shelter, way to go," He paused and picked up the pastry, not caring about sanitation, he took a bite from it and continued to speak. Again, the oh-so-hypocritical Akatora showed no signs of caring for being etiquette and spoke with his mouth full, "What if I just have a fasicination for hidin' under tables and avoiding possible assassins or police force?"

"Well, since you just ate it, looks like I did feed a homeless animal. So no waste there." The girl smiled at her own joke, with a silly smirk on her lips. She didn't seem to care much about eating food off the floor, either, because she didn't recoil or show any obvious disgust. But, she thought of it a bit. Gross, who eats food off the floor though? The idiot's gonna get sick.
"Well then, I'd say you're paranoid." Irene looked him up and down. "Wait a minute, did you murder someone? Or multiple people?" She paused, a surprised look on her face. Then she smiled again. "Oohoo, I won't tell anybody, as long as I can help you next time... Just kidding." She added in the last part so as to pass it off as a joke. It was hard to tell if she was being serious or not.
"By the way, your tie is done up wrong." Still smiling, she was amused with herself again.

Akatora looked puzzled as to why she was laughing. He didn't understand the joke and it bothered him. "You didn't feed me, you threw it at me," he cocked an eyebrow and frowned, "I'm not paranoid I'm Akatora," he wasn't even trying to incorporate a dad joke there, he honestly didn't know what she meant. Despite what the girl said before, he couldn't possibly turn down the opportunity to boast about his accomplishments and flaunt the bounty on his head. "Well, surely you've hearda me before, I've managed to escape from the cops for 24 years. 3,000 bucks on my head too. I save poor, innocent animals from death in shelters.... And my tie is perfect the way it is!" He scoffed, his voice slightly raising in volume, yet not shouting.

Veronica was tempted to shoot a glare at Dae, but realized she had a mask on and it would be almost impossible to tell. "I'm asking because I'm curious," she stated. She had a gut feeling that it would be better if she did her best to stay on Dae's 'good side', if he even had one. And, it was probably better to be honest with him too. He didn't strike her as the type who liked long, drawn out conversations. Maybe I'm being too frank, she pondered as she watched the dancers, hm, I guess I'll always be rude.

"Well maybe you should be less curious." Dae replied trying to make it clear that he wouldn't answer. He really didn't feel like talking to her and his previous experiences with women was that they tend to draw too much attention when they get loud. He was hoping to end the conversation quickly and quietly before things could escalate. He didn't want her to draw attention to him. Why does nobody ever leave me to my notes? Dae pondered as he finished the drink in his hand, This is why I hate coming to social events. Why am I even here?

Mocha wobbled up the granite steps in her heels. She wasn't used to any of this, and after a long day of baking cookies and all sweet things imaginable, she hoped she would do ok for a first timer. As she entered the doors, she put on her pale blue mask, Feathers shot up from one corner and hung over her head gently. A wonderful slow song was playing, it excited her greatly but at the same time made her very nervous. The blind girl slowly walked towards the food table hoping that she wouldn't bump into anything. Mocha placed her sweet'n'sour punch on the table before pulling out a few containers from her bag along with some platters. She placed her chocolate chip cookies on one, along with some Boston cream donuts on the other. Finally she placed down her pear and walnut spinach salad. Mocha blinked a few times and wondered what she would do, she was too shy to say 'hi' to any one, and who would want to dance with a small young blind girl?

Callie glared up at him, though she couldn't hide her smile as she heard of his antics. How could she truly be mad at her friend? He'd never done anything too harmful before, and, though it was illegal to obtain pirated material, she wasn't even surprised that he'd done such a thing. "Well... Like I said, you hand off every few seconds. Basically it's like the classic ballroom dance - you know, the one where you twirl your partner under your arm? - except you don't step as much, and it's more arm movements. Em, I'm not sure how to demonstrate with only two people." She looked out onto the dance floor, smiling as she noted that the guests - or at least, most of them - seemed content. The ballroom should be big enough, what, with how many guests are here... She turned back to Prosper as he inquired on a subject she had been nothing but expecting, one eyebrow raised as he finished. "Prosper, do you ever stop?" The lawyer shook her head, brushing back the single black feather on her mask. "Depends on what you did. Something harmless wouldn't get you into all too much trouble, but if you, say, hurt one of the attendees or damage property that doesn't belong to you... Well, there'd be consequences abound."

{ Sure, Char! Everyone can just jump in; I'm sorry that this is going so slow, by the way. >.< Getting a new laptop next week, downsized to mobile for the time being. Oh, and if anyone is wondering, this is a good demonstration of the dance I have in mind. cx Should be interesting, considering the diversity of the Plumies involved.

Daytona entered into the ballroom wearing a freshly ironed suit, white undershirt with a solid black tie and shiny new dress shoes. He smoothed down the front of himself and watched as others passed by in front of him. He checked his watch to see when Nutmeg would arrive (once Char joins c:) and helped himself to some punch. Daytona took a seat near the front of the hall so that he could monitor the door when Nutmeg would step through.

nnScarlett rushed up to the ballroom, opening the large door and walking in, late as always. She wasn't very good at arriving on time to things. She felt a little overwhelmed at the amount of plumerians in the large room, though she also felt excited. Scarlett didn't even know where to begin; the large crowds of strangers were intimidating... she wasn't sure who would want to talk to her! Instead, she began to walk over to the tables full of sweets-- hovering around and eating the pastries would be a great way for her to pass time while gathering up the courage to talk to someone. Hopefully she would come across a friendly, or even familiar, face in this crowd. She wanted to make at least one new friend tonight.
