What is a Narball?
Narballs are, as their name implies, small, semi-aquatic ball-like mammals somewhat similar to a narwhal. Adults average about fifteen inches in height and twenty-six inches in length, males usually being slightly larger than females, with newborn calves averaging at about six inches in height and ten and a half inches in length. Male Narballs almost always have a horn, older ones tending to have somewhat longer ones than those of younger ones, and female and young calves almost always have none. Narballs can survive on land or in both freshwater and saltwater, though they tend to prefer residing in aquatic areas, or at least moist areas or those with water nearby. Most unusual is that Narballs seem to have an organ in their bodies that produces some sort of odorless lighter than air gas, which they can hold in their bodies and use to float around, their preferred method of transportation when not in water, or release to sink back down and land on the ground or in the water.
