Hawk smirked a bit more. "I try." He said. "For you see, did anyone to fall in love with one of the biggest criminal cats out there, them betray me, they would have to be a fool in nature."

"There are many fools in nature," Ashclaw meowed. "Love is a strange, powerful thing. Many cats will lie to themselves, telling themselves they're in love with a cat they're not," He sighed.

"Another reason love is useless to me. Sure I sometimes end up favoring some certain cats over others, but never love."
