I'm glad you're going to give them a good home! So many people shove them into tiny bowls and tanks. It wasn't right for someone to dump them on you, but it's great that you're still going to keep them and do what's best for them. ^^
I can't help with a pond, but for cheap, temporary housing you might want to look into plastic storage bins? They're not really built for holding water so you might need to buy two and put one inside the other to make it stronger and otherwise mess around with it a bit (I've seen people use bungee cords to keep them from bowing out). Even the biggest storage bins might end up being a bit small for them, but they'll definitely appreciate any extra space you can give them!
Also, stalk craigslist. Sometimes you can find really cheap (or free!) tanks and supplies on there. You might get lucky and save a lot of money.

I wish I could help more, but I know next to nothing about goldfish and only have small tanks. (And a pond in my backyard, but nothing living in it). Don't forget to keep us updated!

We picked up our Oscar's new home, a 75 gallon bowfront tank WITH a stand, for $200 on craigslist(compared to the $1200 we saw at a pet store, it was cheap)

So today I adopted a Koi fish. I had to go to the store for more fish food, as we are going on a trip next month. I saw this little one, and just couldn't leave him. Poor baby looked like he wasn't getting any food. Right now I have him in one of my tanks until he is healed up enough to go into the pond. He is about 4 inches long, but only about as wide as a male guppy. I am calling him Skely.

Poor baby...

How many tanks do you have: 3, only two are set up right now though.
Type of fish that you have: Bettas, White Cloud Minnows, Short and Long finned bristlenose plecos, three different types of cory cats (Juli, Green, and Spotted, I think), zebra danios, a guppy, one leopard danio fry, two mollies, two assassin snails, and a new blue ram cichlid.
Your fish's names: the betta is Silver, she lives in a five gallon. The guppy, her name is Ms. Sassy and the fry is Mr. Bold. The rest don't have names yet.
How long have you had fish: 6 years
Also if you have pictures of you fish we would love to put a link to them next to your name! If you have a tank with a lot of fish you are welcome to just put a picture of your tank. Please do not post the pictures on the actual forum since they do take up space; just the link will do!

I don't yet, but I'll come back and edit tomorrow <3

Hello there! I am back on CS after a 5 year hiatus! Just trying to re-familiarize myself with the site. A few things about me:

-I am still collecting lions! If you have any lions I don't, please send me a trade!
-Some of my stuff is outdated. Stuff like my group names, trade rules, etc. may stay outdated for a bit while I get used to things again
-I am LGBT

This is what I've got my three little guys in currently; I'll be researching and possibly getting the pond tomorrow, so they only have to stay there for one-two nights.

I added two ornaments than they seem to love (they perked up as soon as I put them in there, and started swimming in and out of them!) and put in a bubbler. I don't have a filter though, I used to but my dog got into my room and ate it so now I've only got the one, and that's being used for my betta tank.

oh my goodness, who would even LET a fish get into that state AND STILL have him in the display tank! I would love a koi but I lack a pond, and my parents wont let me dig a hole in our backyard to set up a pond.

Only thing worse than this little guy that I've seen is a landscape store that sells pond fish that has a goldfish pond in the front with 12 ADULT koi in it, they basically hover in one spot and cant move.

Hi guys! -creeps out of hiding-
It's been a while since I've posted here, but I'm hoping to setup a new aquarium! uwu Previously I've only had really small (like, 5 gallon) aquariums and I don't think it's been so great for the fish, so I'm hoping to buy a new, much bigger one, and set up a sort of community tank (if that's what it's called?) with several different types of fish C:
I was wondering what size you guys would recommend, and maybe what fish types? They'd have to be fairly common; I'm hoping to buy them at my petstore uwu
I'm hoping to get a 20-30 gal aquarium but due to price limits I might end up only being able to use a 10 gallon. Any fish that could do well in that amount of space?
ALSO any tips for setting up & cycling a large aquarium?
I'm traveling til Friday w/ no access to my tablet!

Mostly quitting CS; I'll check messages on occasion but DA or Skype is probably a better place to contact me.
