Did you cycle it? : yes
If possible what are the ammonia nitrite and nitrate levels? : I'm not sure
What is the issue or question? :
1 of my guppies and 1 neon tetra have gone missing. The tank has a hood and there's no way they could escape the tank. They both had been looking sickly. The guppy wouldn't really eat an the tetra was quite pale. I have been looking for them but now I'm just not sure what to do.
I'll bet they died and your BN ate them, they aren't large fish so wouldn't be hard for them to 'vanish' when they die the other fish and BN would pick at them till there was nothing left

Try java fern and anubias
They are super hardy and an even survive goldfish... Usually lol
They can't be planted in the substrate though they should be attached to ornaments and driftwood ect
I left a small java fern just floating in my betta tank for my betta to rest in

No sure about the melting part. But liquid carbon is basically algae poison and a enviroment poison in general(recently learnt this). And shouldn't really be used constantly... I've been using it too(until recently) and before I though it actually was carbon add, but apparently not... All my plants did fine when I was using it though, and even my pickiest plant started to grown, since all the little bits of algae went away. But anyway, the purpose of the stuff is to prevent algae from growing, which gives the plants a better change and opportunity to use all the nutrients.

I'm probably thinking of something else then. Thanks for saying something, Hime!

I have a small fish pond outside of our house. It has three small goldfish who we have had since October, 2013. We had started out with 5 and they have been disappearing and recently we bought a koi and the next day it had disappeared even though we had pond netting over it. I'm not sure what ate it or how to stop it. It might be a raccoon as they have been spotted in my backyard.

I couldn't get the picture to work ! Ugh !!!
Male guppies are built differently than females. If it has larger fins and a smaller/daintier body it's most likely a male. To be 100% sure, check if it has a gonopodium or a gravid spot.
Male Gonopodium:

Female Gravid Spot:

Gluteraldehyde(or Glutaral, as the API calls it, means same chemical) is same thing as liquid carbon.

So I we are talking about same stuff... I just have no idea about the melting plant side effect it may have. XD Though now that I think about it, I might have come across something like that while surfing around the net...
I had mysterious melting happen with my limnophila while a go, and I've been using Easy Carbo. Though the melting started(from the root and lower stem) when I stopped using it, then I continued using and it didn't get any better, so stopped again(as my fishes got sick). Poked around the bottom and now the plant seems to be doing okay again. Though it's still growing relatively slow...

I just spend a good half hour reading about light wattage, kevlin, intensity, etc. and a few snippets on keeping a planted tank. Oh my god, it's overwhelming. Please let me go back to my happy little world of ignorance. I think I'm just gonna continue with my regular routine minus the Co2 booster. I don't think my light bulb is the problem, though apparently I should be running a hood that supports two light bulbs for maximum efficiency and color. Maybe I'll dig around on craigslist and try to find some healthy plants to at least increase my odds.

I went away on vacation, came back, and one of my female crown tail bettas has the worst case of ick I've ever seen! I'm surprised she's still alive! Most of the bettas I had when I wa stop her that had ick this bad were dead already! I'm treating her and am watching the whole tank like a hawk. (She is in a quarantine tank) any advice on what to treat her with. I'm using some fungus killer thing that I forget what it's called and aqaurium salt.
