Mariposa, or Posy for short, lives up to her name. She is very light footed and beautiful, inside and out. She does love flowers, her favorite is the hibiscus. She is very gentle with earthly plants and foals but can be a bit nippy with some others if she has been annoyed. She is protective and caring, her heart like a frail old woman's. Her feelings aren't hurt easily and she doesn't take offense to things unless it's about things she cares for. personality: Dove is a seemingly loving horse with a gentle heart and an equal amount of trust for the people who come to visit her and give her a scratch behind the ear. Even though she seems like a sweetheart and appears to be attached to the people who take care of she is a sad, distant horse in truth. She has had trust issues since she was young, no one knows why and not many know of her nature when she is alone because alone is when she lets out her sadness for the world around her. She wants to like everyone and so puts on the face of liking everyone, she is a sweet horse and does believe she likes her handlers but when someone she cares about leaves unexpectedly, she finds that she doesn't care as much as she thinks she should. When others are sad she doesn't understand why because she has never understood the loneliness of losing someone she cares about, she only knows that she is sad when she finds that her heart hurts in a way that can't be explained any other way. Since she doesn't really know the sadness that others feel when someone they care about leaves in a roundabout way she knows that she has not really known their kind of love. A love that makes your heart skip a beat when that special someone is around, the kind of love that makes you cry tears of joy, a love that doesn't need to be super special or with someone who has the perfect body or a lot of money it just has to be with that someone who makes you smile and you miss when they aren't around. With that being said, Dove wants to feel all the things she hasn't ever felt before and is on the look out for something that will make her change from the secretly melancholy horse she is into being an honestly joyful horse.
