Diamond padded through the forest, cold snow crunching under her paws. Her brown gaze scanned everything, though she saw nothing. Thinking she heard something, she spun around. "Hello?"

[Aries .]

Hex's mind wandered like the free roaming wolf he was. He wondered what he should eat today, if anything at all. Of so, when should he hunt? And where? so many decisions.. Besides,they're pretty limited now a days. All the prey is starting to migrate to warmer areas as the days grow shorter and colder. Such and inhospitable time, ugh. Hex suddenly heard a crunch in the leaves nearby, and the scent of another wolf. He growled softly, lifting his head. Who could it be? Hopefully not some annoying pack wolf, he had had enough of those for the season.

[petrichorus]

She stayed still, keeping her gentle, kind nature, yet she wasn't afraid. "I said 'hello?' Who's there?" she asked, scenting a brute. The she-wolf's ears twitched; she waited for a response.

[Aries .]

"Who wants to know?" Hex asked cautiously, his fur bristling just in case this female was hostile. He needed to seem as big as he could in case of an attack, or a jealous brute if she wasn't alone. Slowly, Hex crept forward.

[petrichorus]

She wavered warily a little, then sat down. "Diamond, a lone wolf...who are you?" Diamond didn't bother hiding her scent; he knew she was there. Her fur prickled; she hoped he wasn't going to attack.

[Aries .]

Hex relaxed quite a bit when she said she was. A loner, like him. "Hex, loner as well. What are you doing all the way out here?" He asked, thinking he was the only one who went this far away from the center of the forest for hunting. Hex continued to pad forward, until his head poked out from a bush and in her view.

[petrichorus]

She relaxed a little. "I hunt here...at least for now. I usually don't stay in one place long." The pale wolf stood again, still ready for a sudden move.

[Aries .]

Hex stepped out, then slowly sat down, showing he meant no harm as long as she was the same way. "I see," he said, looking her up and down. "Diamond, you said? Beautiful name, for a beautiful fae," Hex dipped his head respectfully, flicking his tail back and forth.
