The Edge (Sci-Fi; Accepting)

[Kankri Vantas]

Niami looks down at the food she's been given, she takes her fork like thing and pokes the blue meat, she takes a piece and puts it to her mouth, "Think of pizza, think of pizza" she says silently as she took a bite

Vadai watches them try the food with curiosity, she found it slightly funny how they were trying the food with caution

As soon as the food was set before Nova he began to stuff his face with food

Mei

Mei looks at her brother and sighs to see him, entirely pigging out as he is. She shakes her head but she eats almost as much as he does... though slower and less horrifyingly graphic.

Miles

Miles, who has eaten everything from basic chicken to live maggots, takes another bite and another, until instinct takes over and he devours his plate of food. He waves down the servers for another plate, which he again devours.

Mikaelan

Mikaelan turns her head toward Nova's usual seat, looking questioningly at him, as if to ask what's going on. She hates relying on others to be her eyes, but Nova is her friend, and she hopes he will assist.. if he's not too busy eating the Destiree out of house and home.

[Kankri Vantas]

Nova looks up from his food to see Mika staring at him, he swallows his food, "Do you need something Mika?" he asked slightly worried

Niami smiles, "wow this isn't bad tastes like turkey, it's really good once you get over the color" she looks at the other people who she arrived with, she spots Miles pigging out, she raises an eyebrow, "he must be really hungry"

Vadai slowly eats her food savoring the flavor of her meal

Ivy stared at the plate in front of her, unsure what to make of the food on it. She glanced over at the others to see how they were reacting to it. Most of them seemed to like it, especially Miles who was devouring his. She put a piece on the fork and examined it before cautiously putting it in her mouth. She was surprised at how good it actually was, and took another bite.

Mei

"Brother dear is always hungry." Mei replies to Niami, addressing the obvious concern for her brother's... voracious appetite. "Always. You'd think I didn't feed him." She hands her small collection of wooden bowls to a server. "That was interesting." She mutters, having finished before most of those around her.

Miles

Miles chuckles on the other side of the table, having eaten like it'd been a competition. He lounges in his seat, his arms settled over his stomach. He grins contentedly. "Better than tube food, don't you think?"

Mikaelan

"What's happening?" Mika whispers not so secretively. She looks frustrated by her inability to see them herself.

Nova looks around at for the first time since he sat, "well the strange creatures we've invited into our home were poking our food like we poisoned it" That made Nova smiled slightly making a mental note to poison the food to at least make them sick, "But now they are all eating, some like there's no tomorrow"

Niami nodded in agreement, "I still wish they had pizza here" she replied taking a bite of her food

Vadai finishes her meal and waits for the others to finish

Ivy finished eating the rest of the food on her plate and pushed it to the side. She studied the room they were in more closely, taking in the colors and details. The place was so amazing she almost didn't feel like she was off the ground.

Mei

Mei rolls her head side to side, stretching her neck, before settling into her chair. She runs her fingers over the carvings in the wood, curious now, and looks straight at the clan mother. "How old is this?" She asks, lifting an eyebrow.

Miles

"She's not going to reply in years we know, Mei." Miles warns, inciting a simple "shut up" glare from his sister. He shrugs a "don't say I didn't warn you" and looks around the table at everyone seated there. Many forms and people, all very different, he wonders at this for a moment before his mind returns to the idea of pizza instead.

Mikaelan

Mika scowls at the idea of poison but then she turns her head toward the sound of Mei's voice, surprised by her sudden question. "It's been around for more than 7 life cycles." She chirps, like any good scholar would.

Vadai smiles and nodded in agreement of Mika's answers

Niami finishes her food and yawns, "I'm ready for bed" she said rubbing her eyes

Ivy looked over at Niami when she announced that she was ready for bed. Though she didn't want to admit it, she was actually pretty tired too. The ship didn't have the best sleeping space, so she hadn't gotten much sleep on the way.
