Shy sighed, watching out for the lovies. Dark crept in, sweeping the area. Coldness follow, also bringing wind and cats prowling about, but none came near their makeshift camp.

Moss fire didn't sleep easy in this unfamiliar place. Half the time she just laid there awake as she listened to the sounds around her

Around the middle of the night, as Shy's eyes began to droop, he called down to MossFire. "Your turn." He meowed quietly as he hopped down. He curled up on his moss bed without another word.

Mossfire yawned drowsily but forced herself to her paws and climbed up to keep watch

Shy opened his eyes and watched the she-cat. He noted that she looked quite tired. He sighed, pushing up to his feet. "Want me to keep watch the whole night?" He asked.

"No. I got it." Moss fire said without looking at him

Shy nodded slowly. He closed his eyes, slowly drifting off.

Mossfire dozed off just before sunrise

Shy woke up, early like always. He padded out of "camp" and headed into the small meadow that was half a mile or so away. He saw bunnies and squirrels moving about. There was more prey in this area, because the other cats were too lazy to come this far. He crouched low, picking out the fattest rabbit. He moved towards it, keeping a low profile. Getting as close as he dared, he pounced. He snagged a claw on its hind leg and stopped it's heart with a snapped neck. He didn't bother burying the rabbit, but instead set it on the edge of the meadow, slightly hidden in the tall grass. He went for the next fattest rabbit, but most had hopped father in the meadow because the slight noise he had made. As he moved for the rabbit, a vole popped up. He swiped, killing the vole immediately before making a huge jump, a bit ahead of the rabbit so that it ran right into his outstretched claws. Smiling and happy, he gathered the three pieces and began a steady jog back.

Moss fire was fast asleep by the time the shy got back. She slept terribly that night due to being in an unfamiliar place
