Nodding at the she-cat's statement, Swanfeather meowed, "That's understandable then."
At her question, she glanced down at the watermint before replying. "Oh, this is just watermint, I use it to cure bellyaches, and it's found in places like this. It's one of the many herbs I use to help cure sickness and wounds in my Clan; but the others would take too long to name."
She felt her pelt starting to dry, helped by the wind and grooming. Glancing up at the sky, she noticed the sun was heading towards the tops of the trees, and made a mental note to return to camp soon.

I let out a small sigh But I just got here! I thought to myself bitterly knowing better than to complain to my new mentor. My tail twitched nervously as I thought of all the dangers we could run into "How big is this territory?" I asked with a gulp. I remembering how I could smell cats for a while before I could see the camp, This walk is going to take forever! I complained to myself as I thought of how long thus walk would take.

Feather tilted her head. "What's a Clan?"

Tire tugged at her paws as she leapt over a river, her deft physique a blur of alabaster as she hurtled past the verdant forestry. Approaching the camp, she observed the activity of her fellow felines, heaving out a brusque sigh. Was there anything to announce? Something to adjust? No, her work was done. Now she just needed to befriend some cats instead of looking like one of those pathetic, dramatic leaders that always complained of being lone.

Thinking for a moment, Swanfeather responded, "A group of cats who live together, protecting and hunting for those around them. You have the leader, the cat who has the final word in all matters, who makes announcements, and gives the proper ceremonies. The leader also has 9 lives, given to them by StarClan. The deputy, that's the second in command. They organize all the patrols and will become leader themselves once the current one dies for the final time or is unable to be leader for another reason. Then you have the medicine cat, which is me. I know about herbs and various ways to heal the cats around me in the event of sickness or injury. The medicine cat apprentice is the one whom I teach all I know so that when I pass away, they will take my place. Then you have warriors and apprentices. They are the main fighters for the Clan and protect against all outside threats. You become an apprentice at 6 moons and a warrior when your mentor deems it time. Lastly are your queens, kits, and elders. These are the most heavily protected cats in the Clan - the queens because they mother the kits and give the Clan life, the kits being the youngest and next warriors, leaders, medicine cats, etc, and the elders because they served their time as warriors and now 'retired' so to speak."
Drawing a paw over her ear, she added, "I'm sorry if that seems confusing, that's the simplest version I could give."

"Oh." Feather paused. "Sounds... kind of nice..." She wasn't sure if she wanted to join them or if she'd rather just stick to herself. She decided to change the subject. "So what's your name?"

Just a note:
My internet access with be limited by late afternoon today, due to my going on a 5-hour road trip up north to my great aunt's. Friday through Sunday I will have no internet, and there is a chance I won't be on much on Monday either since August 11th is my birthday.
Therefore, my characters will do little replying/interaction with other characters until late Monday evening or Tuesday <3
