The Edge (Sci-Fi; Accepting)

A smuggler ship at the edge of the known galaxy, full of passengers from all walks of life, all seeking a new beginning in a new place, far from solar systems in which they are outcasts or criminals, and they all land on one lonely unknown planet far from anything they've ever experienced. The natives are strange, cat-like and skittish. Will thoughts of aggression or peace reign?

The Planet

The planet is small, volatile, and bright. It features huge cliffs and valleys, like those of Earth's moon, all covered in think, brightly colored vegetation. A veil of pastels and neon sits over the planet, but dangers hide in the huge canopy. The calls of the natives echo through the trees, like monkeys but eerily human as they leap through the branches, always hunting, always aware. The heavy footfalls of the invaders crunch through the leaves.

Terms;

Nest- The home of a Destiree clan; built into a tree on various levels. Built with the trees, not through them.
Lyrandi- The 'beds' used by Destiree. A thick piece of cloth spread tightly between two tree branches.

Also, please try to keep genders even. It's no fun when there's a huge gender imbalance.

Species

Natives - Destiree
The Destiree have large, cat like ears for gathering sound as they hunt, with strong slender limbs for agility. They come in a rainbow of colors to match their environment, usual pastels. Their culture revolves around their huge trees, used for hunting, building, living, and even prayer. Their guiding god is the androgynous god of the sky, Hythile. who they believe guards over them. Leadership is shared between the clan mother who doubles as lead priestess, and the lead hunter also known as the patriarch.
The patriarch and clan mother are commonly romantically linked. Those who are not are often pressured into the relationship, regardless of their personal preference. This can cause interesting debacles.

Destiree resemble nekos, for easily finding suitable art. Try to keep to pastels. :3

Castaways - Humans
Humans are, well, your run of the mill human. Some humans feature biotics, some do not, and with the expanding space colony system they can come from any background.

Castaways - Falwin
The Falwin are an elflike species with long pointed ears. They can have colored skin. Recognized to have strong mystic, almost magical properties. Well, some of them anyways. Though some Falwin have magic in their veins, the vast majority do not, causing a lot of, "Throw a fireball!" "What, I can't do that!" conversations. All Falwin do, however, have an affinity for something, be it an element, or a talent.

The species are all closely related enough that, hypothetically, their DNA would be compatible.

Non-character Species

Mythrandalle
Mythrandalle are large, about 3 feet in height from paw to shoulders and about 12 feet from the tip of the tail to the head when adult. Their legs, head, and underbelly are covered in thick, purple-gray fur while their back and tail are scaly. Their paws are a bear-like large with knifelike claws. With a single paw, the Mythrandalle can crush a human being's ribcage. They hunt only at night but their stealth and agility is dangerous. Happily, the Mythrandalle's great size makes climbing implausible, if not impossible, allowing the tree-loving Destiree a save haven.

Kryalt
Kryalt are the primary source of food for the Destiree. They are small, slow moving, and shortlived. They live on the ground in burrows but search for fruit in the trees during the day, leaving them vulnerable to hunters. With short fur, and small bones, they are described to "taste like turkey". Their numbers are high and easily sustain the Destiree population.

Name: Ender Orion Whitemore.
Bionic implants: Ender's eyes are enhanced; implanted with optimizers at birth. Because of this, Orion can easily scan, track, and glean information from others. In addition, he can take pictures with his eyes, and store it within the drive implanted on the top of his neural system. If he so chooses too, Orion can slow his perception, making everything appear in slow-motion which is incredibly useful in some fights. His vision is enhanced greatly, and he can also zoom in on objects like a telescope. He can also sense energy fields.

In addition, a second bionic was planted young. See, Orion's body generates a rare protein, and with the help of his implant, he can utilize it in many different ways. Using his hands, the man can generate a sort of liquid that can heal physical injuries. Likewise, his very touch can cause burns, and melt through hard material. Lastly, he can stimulate sleep, paralysis, and poison, as well as different emotions through his touch.

A downside, however, is that when an EMP is set off Orion will become completely blind & useless.

Skills: Tracking, healing, & a proficiency with long range weapons.
Weaknesses: EMPs, for the obvious reason.

Personality: Shy, quiet, and a bit reclusive, Ender often stutters through the simplest of conversations, and absolutely can't control his mouth are females. A bit awkward at times, he's frequently described as the "odd one out". I wouldn't underestimate the man however, as he has a kind & incredibly generous heart.
Sexuality: Bisexual, with no pretence towards either gender.
Relationships: He's only had one in the past, who freaked out a bit when she discovered his eye's weren't real.
History: One without eyes, at birth Ender has a bionic prototype inserted into his system, granting him extraordinary vision. Two years later, he had surgery to insert a implant that would control his weird protein. It wasn't until the boy was ten when he had his last biotic, the hard drive inserted into his spinal cord.

Her hair nearly hides that one of her eyes is red, while the other is dark grey, and that the left side of her face is covered in twisting black tattoo work that travels down the entire left side of her body.

Appearance: Miles matches his sister's pale grey skin. His eyes are dark, shadowy grey and his hair, also black, is styled to fall partially over his face. He models thick, very modernly futuristic armor and a casual smirk.

Personality: Miles is a bit of a jokester, sharing his sister's dark humor. He's also a huge flirt, but he almost always means nothing by it.

Personality: Mikaelan is gentle, but strong willed. She is quiet and scholarly and does all she can for her people.
