just throwing the idea out there
but how about a murder mystery on a boat?
obviously on AS, but either way, i would not partake in it persay, seeing as i would be giving you your role.
there are more details i have planned out, but it's better to see who is interested before anything else happens.
also considering creating a steampunk roleplay for a small group- which would also be on AS.
Rollin back in as well to signal boost this because me and bow were discussing it and it's going to be like a mix of Clue and Town of Salem if anyone's ever played that and just basically a whodunit and very well planned imo and omg guys just like give it a second look because I swear you will not be disappointed it's gunna be awesome.
Also Folly + Zmija, if any of the rp ideas you listed way back here are on the table, I would be more than happy to do something with you ouo like, especially that last one with the rpg because I've just created a druid catfolk recently, and am a tad disappointed I can't really explore his character as he's battling vampires and trying to survive the swamps. So using him in an rp where I could actually do such without him dying the next second would be more than magnificent. Then again that might work better as a small group with multiple rpg characters, so really I'd be ecstatic to do any of the rps you listed ;v;
I should probs also mention this is neon also known as roam [on the list at least], and now known as soda. Wow it's been a long time. So hello, how's everyone been?
woah murder mysteries are always fun i want to do this pls accept my blatantly bad roleplaying skills and overall annoyingness i haven't roleplayed in forever
i like dragon capitalism a lot lmao

I've noticed a couple of recent trends in the roleplay boards, and I was wondering about everyone's opinions.
The first is many people are now doing a roleplay thread, then a application thread and then a discussion thread. What are your opinions on this?
Personally, I prefer to have the forms on the roleplay thread; it's easier to have a quick glance back to check something, especially for those who have slow or picky internet connection. I often look back at both my own form and the forms of the people I'm interacting with so having to go to a new thread - even if conveniently linked - can be time consuming as my internet plays up a lot.
Secondly, I've noticed in a lot of rules that people are not only putting a minimum amount (which I really like) but also a maximum? Opinions?
For this, it tends to be something that I easily write past on a daily basis, and I don't want to be limited to writing a certain amount as checking that my post isn't too long can stress me out quite a bit. Roleplaying is meant to be relaxing, isn't it? I can understand if you don't want to write a novel, but typical posts in the semi-lit/lit boards tend to be small paragraphs, so adding a couple more if you are able to isn't that long.
Maybe it's just me though.

I must admit, I don't mind being in a roleplay that has a separate forms thread, especially since I'm a bit of a neat freak; I probably won't do it, because I know it annoys some people, but I don't mind that much when others do it. It can be rather irritating for me when it comes to keeping track of all the threads, though, because I have a bad habit of forgetting to bookmark the topics I need, but that's just me.
Maximums completely tick me off, however. Seriously, it's not that much work to read a simple 650 word post, and I've seen very few roleplays with that wordcount average as it is. I think RP owners should be grateful that their roleplayers are putting so much effort into their roleplay posts, but then again, that's just my opinion.
*shrug* I suppose I just avoid any roleplays that hint at a maximum, and I'm good.

I don't mind separate form threads; I just hate having to pm forms first. It usually takes me two-three goes to finish one form, and having to create it all at once usually results in a subpar form. I understand some people are neat freaks, but it just bothers me.
Maximums I dislike as well, but as of late I don't think I could be even close to reaching something like 650+ words. XD I need a semi-lit rp.

HI GUYS I HAVE RETURNED!
It has been a while since I posted here i believe. I have mostly been stalking the thread... o.o
anyways, I have thought of this great idea!
Okay so I was thinking what if there was a Lord of the rings role play, but it was gender bended. Like Frodo was a girl and Arwen was a male. The fellowship is still the fellowship though and still has that same mission, but it is all girls. So yeah, thought that would be interesting and cool.
Or just where after several decades the uruk-hai has formed up again and gained much more strength. Their next move is to either a) take out the elves or b) the dwarves. Haven't given this plot much thought though so I might need help in improving and stuff like that.
Back to the subjects.
I don't like the separate form thing cause I see it kind of pointless. I mean I do understand that you would like to keep your role play clean and neat, but why not just post it on the discussion thread? That works too. I do like the idea of a discussion thread though.
The whole maximum and minimum writing I don't like. My writing style can be anywhere from 400 - 500 words all the way down to 100 - 150 sometimes. I just like to bounce around so when something has a maximum it bothers me. Just...yeah and I can see I am not the only one it bothers either. XD

I made a new Harry Potter rp (or a remake I guess.) if anyone's interested. A different concept then normal, a mystery wizard/witch has told a muggle organization of the existence of magic and now there are muggle hunters that are trying to exterminate the wizard race. Takes place 16 years after Voldemort's death.
right here.
How is everyone?

what would interest you guys more, dragons, werewolves, or mortal instruments?
toying with the idea of making a small group rp on AS with one of those as the theme, no max or min but will ask for sample and will try and keep an upper literacy in the writing itself. no forms, pretty relaxed. It went very well last time I did one
only thing is I have not even an inkling for plot direction
except maybe a dragon riding academy, like the whole world (or area) is divided in two and there's going to be war and so they're training for war and to be the best fighters or maybe have to go retrieve something for something idk
