@Lonin
We have plenty of plants and a small breeding tank we really weren't purposely trying to breed them it just sort of happened... as for the plates they are both females and the mollies and guppies Do fine together . Some of our tetra recently passed away. (We think it was neon tetra disease) we are going to get some more.
I agree guppies are adorable and have lots of personality. :) I saw one fry left and tried to put him in our separate breeding /baby tank. But he got really stressed out and died.

Stupid question: Can common plecostomus survive the winter outdoors? My aunt is thinking about getting one for her pond and she doesn't know much about them. it would be with comets shubunkins and koi. no doubletails as far as i know.

I had to take the snails out of my betta's tank because their bio waste was just overloading the tank and making the water cloudy. I've got them in the frog tank because that's double the size of the betta tank so hopefully they'll be better in there.

No, they cannot survive the winter. If it were to survive the winter, it would need to be brought indoors.

sooo it only took about 2 year but we finally have a betta fish! He's just a standard red veil tail nothing fancy but I don't really care how common he is because he's beautiful ^.^ His name is Thor... um I don't have an explanation for that bit, but yes finally we have one and I'm thinking about trying to get a halfmoon betta for my tank (we have 2 tropical tanks) since I only have some young platties in mine.

Does anyone know of any tropical algae eaters that would i of be good in a community tank ? I have mollies, guppies, platys, and neon Tetras.
I had a plecostomus but we came home one day and he was dead as a doornail...

Also I have a very fat female Dalmatian Mollie who is very grumpy. When another fish comes near her she chases them away. I'm not 100% sure but I think she is pregnant. Any ideas ?

An otto would be my first go to for a tropical community since they're small and docile. But tank size is a big factor since ottos are really the only thing you can keep in smaller tanks since plecos need a lot of room.

If you're not opposed, you could even potentially have a snail! Some of them are great algae eaters. c:
