Feather slips out of her den and looks around. The rain seems to have driven all the prey either further underground or simply into the river, in some cases, seeing as how far the river has risen. She decides that she might want to go fishing after all. Not deep, of course, just in the shallower areas where smaller fish might be. Feather pads over and wait for a shimmer that signals there are minnows there. She sees it and quick as a flash, she dips her paw in and scoops out a minnow. She bites it on the neck quickly so it can't flop back in. She catches a few more before picking them up and padding to her den.

Swanfeather

Having told Shellstorm where she was going, Swanfeather padded out of the camp's entrance, intent on finding the herbs she needed in order to stock up her supply. Watermint, Tansy, Catmint, Borage, ran through her mind as she tasted the air. Decieding to search for watermint first, she debated between looking for the herb along the river or by the lake. Both places had it in abundance, but the river was a favourite place of hers to visit.
Changing her course so she headed along the river down to the spot she was looking for, Swanfeather inwardly frowned. The water level was quite high after the rain; were the watermint stalks buried underneath it? There was no other way to know than to check, so scenting the air again for the herb, she continued along - and then stopped. An unfamiliar cat scent had hit the roof of her mouth.Was it another cat like Mudpaw, interested in joining?
A shiver ran down her spine. Or was it a hostile rouge, intent on claiming this place for itself and no one else?
Proceeding now with caution, Swanfeather halted at the edge of the trees. The land ran down into a rocky shore and then into high, rushing water, but that wasn't what stopped her; she had visited this place many times before when it flooded. No, what made her pause was the she-cat now heading away from the water with prey clutched in her jaws, obviously having just hunted.
Shaking her head once, Swanfeather chided herself for being so frightened. It wasn't like she was charging down to the shore, fangs bared and claws out, was she?
Emerging from the trees, the medicine cat pretended she had never noticed the other cat, and made her way close to the water, eyes scanning for the watermint she knew grew close by.

Feather thought she heard something on her way back to the den, a branch snapping or leaves rustling. It may have just been her imagination, but she decided to look behind her anyway. She saw a white cat looking at her before padding towards the water, obviously looking for something. 'Hmm...' Feather thought. She padded back to her den, dropped her prey and covered them with leaves in case something came nosing around, then bounded back towards the river. She approached the white cat cautiously. "Looking for something?" she asked.

Swanfeather

Spinning around so fast she tumbled head over paws, Swanfeather ended up hitting muzzle-first into the shallows of the river. Coughing as she swallowed what seemed like half the river, she floundered until she found purchase on the loose pebbles below her, Swanfeather felt the water seeping into her pelt from where she stood, belly deep in the water.
As luck would have it, she found herself nose to nose with the watermint she sought, protected on a small, raised island. However, her long-furred white pelt was soaked through. Looking towards the shore where the strange she-cat stood, Swanfeather looked back at watermint, counting her blessing that she at least found the thing.
Splashing towards her, the medicine cat got out of the water and did her best to shake dry, but her pelt stubbornly held on to about 70% of the icy water. Fixing her blue eyes on the other cat, she sighed. "Yes, as a matter of face you helped me find it by nearly giving me a heart attack," she meowed, gesturing towards the watermint with her dripping tail.
Shaking off a bit more, she adds, "It wasn't your fault, don't worry. I shouldn’t have been so startled, I'm not the only cat that lives around here!"

I renovated the front page and moved things around regarding real-life news, so you can check that out if you haven't already ^^
Regarding the Clan:

Before a heavy thunderstorm, Swanfeather went out to collect herbs, but was caught by the rain halfway through, and began heading back with the herbs she had already gathered. Dawnstar was out on patrol when she ran into an intruder, and attacked. Hearing the noise, Swanfeather ran to investigate, to find Dawnstar atop a young, brown she-cat. Demanding to know what was going on, Dawnstar explained she caught the she-cat in RainClan's territory. Just then, a fallen tree nearly hits them, and it's evident the storm is getting worse.
Swanfeather convinces Dawnstar to bring the she-cat, Mud, back to camp until the storm has passed. When Swanfeather brings her herbs for her sore pads, Mud explains she learned from a friend about this Clan and wanted to join. Surprised, Swanfeather let's Dawnstar know this. Calling a meeting, the leader decides to make Mud and apprentice, and she is now know as Mudpaw.
The storm had lessened off into a light rain and then stopped entirely, so after the ceremony Oliveheart went off to organize a hunting patorl with Shellstorm's permission.
Swanfeather let their deputy also know that she was going out again now that the rain stopped, and began to head toward the river to collect watermint, and then look for borage, tansy, and catmint. On the way, she saw another strange she-cat who was heading away from the river with prey. Deciding to ignore her and continue with what she was looking for, Swanfeather made it down to the river and began searching.
The she-cat, Feather, had seen Swanfeather and after dropping off her prey, headed back to ask her what she was looking for. After doing so, Swanfeather nearly jumped out of her pelt and ended up falling into the shallows of the river getting her long coat soaked in the process, but finding the watermint.

Sometimes I swear it hates me XD.

Feather couldn't help but snicker as the cat fell in the water. Once she was done talking, and safe on the island in the middle of the river, she said, "Sorry. I shouldn't laugh, but are you okay?"
