Tallspirit nodded. "Everything is perfect." He purred. "It's just that- Well, you need to get back to your warrior duties soon. Another queen can mother our kits for now." He sighed, curling his tail around his paws. "And... Something else. I know how hard it is, but I think our kits would feel more secure if they never figured out their parents were two toms." He mewed sadly.

Riverstorm blinks in surprise. "What..?" He mews in disbelief. He totally understood that he had to get back to his duties, that wasn't the problem; but that Tallspirit wanted to hide this from their adopted kits? he was speechless. "I... I don't understand..." He begins, his ears flattening with sadness. "Why?"

Milkkit senses the shock and instant disbelief from Riverstorm. She turns around to look at him, and is surprised, and suddenly worried, by how upset he looks. Her ears flatten, and she pads over to him, tail drooping. "Daddy? What's wrong?" She mews pathetically. She had heard her siblings once use this word for Riverstorm; she now wanted to call him this too.

Blackhawk blinks sadly. "Then..." He mews, trailing off, trying to think of what to do.

Heatherblossom looks at him pitifully. "The best I can give you some advice. Treat her like a normal kit. Icewing says she can see in her dreams, so she knows colors and stuff, so I assume Swankit might aswell. If she wants to know what something looks like, try giving her a good description, and give her plenty of rest while she still can, so she may dream of her world, and know what it looks like. I'll speak to Speckledstar, and when she becomes an apprentice, I'll see if Icewing can become her mentor. That's all I can do." She offers.

Blackhawk looks to Dawnstripe, waiting for her approval.

Speckledstar barely moves more than a few tail-lengths before a strong, foul scent reaches him. Kittypet. He looks around, ears flatten, and spots a small tom (Apollo) behind a tree a little less than a fox-length from himself. "Who goes there?" He hisses, flexing his claws, though unsure if this cat could be a threat or not.

Brindlekit's eyes widened, "Daddy, where are you going?" She mewed in confusion. The shecat plopped down on her hindlegs and tilted her head, "Are you..going?" She mumbled sadly.

Heavypaw's fur bristled, he lashed his tail as he took in the scent of the kittypet.

Riverstorm looks down to Milkkit and Brindlekit, dipping his head down to them. He nuzzles each of them gently, a warming purr in his throat to calm them down. "Its okay, its okay." He coos to them. "We're just having a... Ehm... A discussion. You go along and play, okay?" He mews, faking a smile to assure them.

Milkkit gives a concerned look to the tom, then to her sister, then back to Riverstorm. "O-Okay..." She mews, not feeling very assured, but she trusted him. She took his word, and went back to find something to interest her. "Come on, Brindlekit. Lets let them talk." She calls to her sister, noticing a feather soon after. "I found a feather! Come chase it with me!" She chirps happily, batting at it as it fluttered back into the air.

Heatherblossom looks down to Swankit. "Swankit, this next part is for you. If you are playing with your brother or sister and they suddenly tell you to stop, you might want to listen to them. They might be trying you help you. They'll help guide you along when your parents are off hunting or something else. Okay?" She mews. She was scared she sounded bossy, but she really was just trying to assure the she-kit that she could still trust her world, and that she wouldn't have to be afraid if she was.

Speckledstar's fur begins to bristle as he steps closer to the tom. "Who are you, stranger? What brings you into IceClan territory?" He growls.

Icewing's ears perk, and she suddenly recognizes the scent of Kittypet. She narrows her eyes, trying to track down where the tom is. She couldn't pin him down, it was too hard; the scents of the other cats, the pine trees, and the prey all mingled together with his scent made it nearly impossible for her to tell. "Frostfeather, where is he? I can't tell..." She whispers to her dear friend, still trying to locate the cat.

Tallspirit sighed. "It's for the best. They could get teased... Made fun of. Bullied." He mewed sadly, nuzzling his mate. "It's okay. It's hard for both of us, but we can manage." He told Riverstorm, reassuring him.

[kibblengrits]

Heavypaw looks the kittypet up in down, his eyes glittering with interest.

Brindlekit frowns then turns towards her sister, "A feather! Is it soft?" She squeaks, licking one of the feathers on the nest. "it taste bad!"

Riverstorm blinks hard, trembling slightly for a few seconds, then lets out a sigh. "You're right. Its for their own good." He mews, looking up to the kits, watching them play. "We could ask Dawnstripe and Blackhawk. That way we'd still be able to watch them grow up, and they'll grow close to their cousins, and not be teased." He suggests.

Tigerkit Looks over to Riverstorm and Tallspirit, seeing that they aswell are upset, as are Milkkit and Brindlekit, though they're trying to hide it. "Why is everyone so upset?" He whines to Foxkit.

Milkkit bats at the feather once more, testing its softness, and nods to her sister. "Yep, Yeah, its Uh.." She trails off, looking back to Riverstorm, Flattening her ears in worry. But she just shakes her head, and turns back to her sister. "Yeah, Its soft."
