Russetwing bounded through the snow, her long fur keeping her warm as she searched for her kit. She looked back and saw that Darkkit was having a harder time in the snow, since she was shorter. Russetwing stopped and told her shivering kit to get on her back. Then she set of again, in the direction of the last scent of Cherrypaw had been found.

Darkkit snuggled down into her moms fur and held on tight as her mother leapt though the snow.

Spiritstar gained height and winded up a tree with the two kits grasped in her jaws, the male broke out in a cry of hunger so she found a place and settled down to deliver milk to the starving kittens

Acorntail sighed and looked around with sorrow, what had happened to this once mighty clan in the past three moons?
