Nessa trotted around, tail in the air, glad she had found other horses. She stopped and looked and looked at the other herd members, Curious about their personalities.

Suddenly, a bird startled her and she broke into gallop whinnying to the others

Nieva whinnied to Nessa. "Come here little one it's ok its only a bird."

Nessa sheepishly trotted over to Nieva, ashamed that the bird had startled her. This was the first time she had looked at the mare closley.

"It's alright." she assured the filly, she saw her looking a little nervous. "Don't worry I won't hurt you." she said looking at the filly.

Nessa smiled up at the mare and stood close by her. This was the safest she had felt since being seperated from her mother

Nieva felt the filly relax and she nuzzled Nessa's mane.

Nessa reached as high as she could and tried to groom with her. no matter how high she streched her legs, her nose couldnt quite reach nievas withers. She pawed the ground in frustration

Nieva smiled and layed down for Nessa to groom her withers and she she did the same.

Nessa whinnied in delight as she scratched the mares shoulders, saying thankyou for just being here.
