It's dawn, as I said earlier, but as the sun slowly rises you can hear your Clanmates waking up one at a time. Someone is shuffling their feet behind you, and you step out of the way of the apprentice's den entrance to let Knotpaw, an older apprentice, walk past you. The tall molly barely avoids bumping into you, but mumbles an apology anyways, yawning.

"You're up rather early," she says, and it's only due to the silence of the camp that you can hear her. She's always been a rather quiet individual, but when she's tired it's really noticeable. "I didn't think that you'd be up by now, since kits get to sleep in." She makes a poor attempt at laughter (you don't think you've ever caught her truly cheerful enough to laugh at anything, really) and blinks in the direction of your old den, the nursery. "Boy, do I miss that. Anyway..." she looks back to you sleepily. "What are you doing up?"


Why are you awake so early, anyway? I think you were up before everyone else!
