Kovu made his way through what were once tall grasses but now they were nothing more then brittle stalks. The grasses crunched and cracked under the weight of Kovu's paws. "So much for stealth" he muttered. He flicked his tufted tail behind him and bent his ears back with dismay. Not a single living thing stirred upon his prescence in the lands. Kovu had overheard stories that the older lioness told their cubs of how lush and populated the pride lands had been. Having never seen them in such a state Kovu tended to shrug the stories off as lies.

Scar lifted his head sluggishly raising an eyebrow at Oriana’s outburst “oh- my my my” he stood up “what have we here?” he quickly began walking, as he did he circled her “tell me, are you saying that you can run this land better than me? oh my dear I have yet to see these things as problems it’s the weak are dying off that’s all. And the lands are changing that’s all.”

Hearing Scar's words she ran out feeling something funny
Oriana tackled Kovu "wanna Playyyy!" She grumbled her tail flicking plafully. The young lioness' multi-colored fur shimmering she stared deeply int Kovu's eyes and huffed keeping him still on the ground

Vitani shook her head as she saw her brother being tackled by Oriana. "Thats the third one today. When will these lionesses learn to grow up?" She got up and padded over to the water hole. She noticed a strange lion walking around. One she had never seen before. "Who's that over there?" she thought.

His tail tip twitched once more as he debated whether or not it was time to move. As much as he had found he liked this spot, he was starting to get thirsty. With a final yawn he stretched his front paws out in front of him, claws briefly digging into the ground, before he fully stood up. With another glance around, he made his way towards what was, as far as he knew, the closest source of water.

Vitani desided to talk to the stranger. "Hey, who are you?" She said as she flicked her tail in annoyance. She gave the stranger a sharp look as she began to circle around him, just like her father does.

"Huh?" He glanced at the young lioness. He watched her for a moment before shaking his head. "Is there... a reason you're doing that?" He sighed finally. She was making him a bit dizzy. "I'm just getting a drink."

"And why are you around these parts?" She said narrowing her eyes. "Who are you anyways? There's no reason I'm doing this anyways." She sat down and smiled ever so slightly at him.
