how it got its scars: Tangelo is a pony who has no 'weapons' to defend himself with. His teeth were grinded down for biting purposes, And his hooves are trimmed daily to the roundness of no corners or sharp knives edging out. But yet, as brave as he is, Tangelo goes out to fight with the other stallions. Challenging the best of the bests. He keeps his head up high and his looks clean.
As Tangelo was 'hoof kicking', it seems that the leader of the herd decided to challenge him. Eyes were wide, decalring on who the leadership position would go to. Tangelo leaped forward towards the strong stallion, and fought for a half an hour too long. As Tangelo was about to collapse on his feet towards the soft ground, the other stallion took his chance and stomped on Tangelo's head. His cheek was swollen, and hoof scars were left upon his face. Tangelo did not stop there. He was determined to go on. He got up on his hind quarters and charged to the young stallion. All was lost, as the leader defeated Tangelo. But from this harsh expirence, Tangelo learned to never give up. Those scars remind him of the day he lost. And the day he won a lesson.

how it got its scars: While Carrie has always demonstrated a significant amount of intelligence, she lacks common sense and often attempts stupid things she can't handle. For example, one afternoon while she was turned out in the pasture, Carrie spotted a nearby apple tree and decided to fetch herself a snack. As she speedily trotted over to it, she began to notice that the tree lie outside of the pasture bounds, and was a ways out of her reach. Thus making it extremely difficult for her to retrieve the fruit. Although any normal horse would've given up, Carrie had a determined nature, and definitely was not willing to leave the tree untouched. Once she managed to stretch her neck up to one of the lower branches, she began to nip at one of the apples in hopes of grabbing it in her mouth. Despite how close her muzzle came to the apple, she was still unable to grab it in her mouth. Becoming desperate, Carrie stood up on her hind legs and placed her front hooves on the sturdy wooden fence surrounding the field. With the extra height added on, Carrie found the apples within reach and snagged one of them in her jaws. However, while trying to lift herself off the fence, her hooves slipped causing her to fall forward straight towards the fence. Unprepared for the sudden fall, she didn't have time to catch herself before her chest abruptly hit the ground. Her face took the most damage, however, slamming against the splintered fence post with a few stray nails scratching against her cheek, leaving three long, whisker-like scars. Startled, she quickly stood back up and bolted fearfully in the opposite direction. The apple she put so much effort into retrieving lay on the ground having been long forgotten.
