And so to kick off the Cottonwood Philharmonic Orchestra we have our first horse: The Violin!
I was going to go with a Bay, but later decided to go wild with a Chestnut with Star, Coronet, Pastern and Bend Or spots- the runner up (Violin II) will be a plain Bay.

Show Name: Woodstock's Break In The Music
Barn Name: Caesura
Age: 4 Years
Gender: Stallion
Breed: Cavallo Romano della Maremma Laziale
Height: 15.2hh
Colour: Chestnut
Markings: Star, coronet, pastern and Bend Or spots
Genetics: A/a.
Personality: Caesura is a stubborn and determined horse. He is a quick learner though he doesn't always take well to strangers and it may take a while for hi, to trust you. Caesura does have quite the trickster side, some may say it's a bit twisted. Caesura likes to trick those around him and it can be quite hard to catch him. He is a flirt and full of energy, sometimes it seems as though he can run for hours on end. Caesura is outgoing and can never be seen being quiet, he is always around other horses. Caesura is very confident and not at all self conscious. He likes music and creativity a lot, he is always caught listening to music or writing music notes with his hoof in the ground. Caesura can also be seen tapping his hoof to the beat.
History: Caesura was bred in Italy and is one of the few of his breed to ever leave Italy. His breeder had grown quite fond of his future owner, Madisyn Lightner, during the time that her and her boyfriend, Niko Dunehew, spent in Italy. When her boyfriend proposed, his breeder decided he would give the newly engaged couple a special gift. The breeder knew that Madisyn always had a soft spot for horses and he had seen a natural talent in her when she went out into the pastures and into the stables with his horses. So, on the night after the couple's engagement, the breeder had stallions trot valiantly up to the couple and asked what they thought of each one. The breeder did this three times before finally bringing Caesura out. When Madisyn's eyes landed on Caesura, the breeder knew he was the stallion for her and Niko. She immediately gave affection to the horse while her fiancé stared at the magnificent stallion in awe. When Madisyn asked why the breeder had brought Caesura to them, he said that it was a gift, to thank the couple for all the hard work they were doing around his stables. As Madisyn couldn't believe what she had heard she hugged the breeder tightly, and that was when Caesura had found his permanent home.

Trivia
1. The violin was thought to have evolved from stringed instruments in the Middle East, but in which nation did the first 'modern' violin first appear? Italy, specifically Northern Italy.
2. Which century did the first 'modern' violin arrive? the four string violin is believed to be first created in the 16th century.
3. What is another name the violin is known by? the fiddle, and sometimes the devils instrument because of certain notes played.
4. What is the letter name of the highest note a violin can reach? (Bonus marks for the number of octaves above middle C) the letter name of the highest note a violin can reach is known mainly as E7, which is how I know it. But, C8 is truly one of the highest but it is created using harmonics or other methods therefore it's "artificial." And there are four octaves above the middle C.
5. After they arrive on stage, what does the First Violin normally have to do before the conductor arrives on stage? The first chair violin usually stands up and plays the open notes, G, D, A, E, and the rest of the orchestra tunes their instruments to match the first chair violins.
