coal shook his head. "if it was that easy it would have worked by now.. he keeps threatening me.. calumn.. my family if their even still alive.. even my friends, and telling me he will.." he paused. "besides." he continued. "everything is so alive at night. the black blood keeps me alive. if i get rid of him than i will die, and drag calumn down with me."

Zaylen seemed to zone out for a second. Something deep in the recesses of his mind wanted him to reveal himself to Vecili. He started to move forward.

Vecili closed her eyes and turned away from Sabin. She was hurt that he would not look at her. "Gabriel won't get very far. That was more than just a tranqulizer. That and I filched these off of him." She handed Gabriel's gun and tracker to Sabin, and flashed the phone before sticking it in her pocket. Ger thoughts turned over in her head.

coal smiled evily. "trouble finds me. i'm not led to it." he sat his head against the tree. "might as well." he said. "i guess i could. couldn't hurt. don't try anything funny, okay?" he continued. coal got up and was silent for a while. after a second, coal opened his eyes and shifted into his panther form. "hey i did it!"
