I was hoping a HARPG could help people improve so they wouldn't have to feel embarrassed, but I suppose most people wouldn't be willing to submit their art anyway. I do, however, have a slightly better idea. What if there were weekly/monthly challenges posted on the front page of the fanclub? Similar to how the weekly challenge works, not everyone would have to participate, but those who want to would have the opportunity. The challenges could be simple, like drawing your horse tolting or maybe competing in some sort of show? I understand if this is too much of a hassle to manage, but I think it would be something cool. Occasional competitions would be great too! :3

I think Gator has plans for regular competetions guys. I know there is one coming up in August.

I know someone was talking about competitions. The HARPG idea is a cool one and I enjoy following them, but I don't have time for it and while I really enjoy being a part of this community, I agree that having one at Bear Run would split the community into those in the rpg and those not, whether we include both art and writing. Idk if it would be too much tho. I am curious why people think that people making their own art is too much to handle but don't think having dogs and sheep and cows and ducks and more animals isn't? Im honestly curious about this guys. I love the idea of these other animals, but it seems like a lot to add so many so soon?

I do like the competition idea tho, in some way. Again, im too busy, but it might me fun to see people do art or write stories. I've been thinking of doing that for people to earn breeding slots with some of my filters or something eventually, if people like that idea. Not all of them, but like one per horse or something

i don't know what i'm doing wrong until someone is just like, "gator, maybeee that's too much" i don't bite or rage guys, i promise XD <3

basically i want to bring in more species like the dogs, goats, etcetc, because i love having something new once in a while to keep the motivation up, or to just have a breather. (don't get me wrong, i'm not saying that i'm forced to keep to bear run 24/7, because i really love making designs, art, and lineart to do with the community and the ranch). the icelandic sheepdog litters and customs just seemed like the perfect chance to try something a 'lil different(: i hope you understand :>

and yes, there is going to be a big competition up in august (might come a few days later than i expected though)
there's going to be a bunch of competitions and all have both a writing and an art side to it. so you can draw or write your entries.
it'll be open for a while too, so you don't have to rush.

Gah four pages of posts to read XP. That was a lot of reading. Thanks guys. I love HARPG's and think it would be fun for Tolters but it is obvious that not a lot of people are supportive of the idea which is alright. So I'm sure you can do what Spartan did, Katie Cat, and make your barn on DA. As for here, I am satisfied of just drawing art whenever I wanna and showing. I don't want this to be turned into a HARPG and then die like Bayside Equestrian Stables run by Baylone Rose did. Also to me I feel like HARPG are hard to join when you are a new comer. I felt like this trying to join BES and I don't want people to not feel welcomed at Bear Run. Anyways I wanted to add my little thought on the whole ordeal.

Hey guys! So it looks like the WiFi is set to be connected sometime tomorrow, and then I'll be able to use my computer again instead of my phone data. I'll get breeding archives updated, update some foals to their adult lines, and hopefully have out some new adoptables. Sorry I havent been around much the past few days!

I'll be able to do some good art of my tolters soon. I just ordered a Wacom Intuos pen and touch medium sized tablet. I am so excited! It is supposed to get here in 3-5 shipping days. In the meantime I'll continue my funky looking track pad art. xD
