A rumbling growl started deep in her throat, and slowly climbed to a snarl. "And who says I don't know how?" She growled, menacingly flicking her tail around so that the barb was in plain view of the NightWing, practically ignoring Flash or whatever his name was.

"I'm sorry, it's just most Rainwings aren't the best fighters. When I was growing up, being tough was more important than being smart. And I was both."

"Things have changed here since the war started." She didnt mention that it was the death of her mother by the dark supporters of the tribe that had made her react the way she had. Looking at the NightWing's wing, she saw that the branch was through her wing. The fastest way to get the NightWing out would be to break the branch and then "pull" it out as you would a thorn.

Starsong looked at the other dragon. "Something happened, didn't it. Your scales are black and gray. You're angry and sad." She said.

Stardust tensed but didnt say anything.

"Good idea, and why won't you talk about it? Sorry, I tend to pry open dragons' secret stuff. My tribe said I was gifted. They tried to use me as a secret weapon. That was before I went rogue." Starsong said, a little saddened with her tribe.

"If you can get me to talk about it, I'll beleive you." Looking at the branch, she didnt want to snap off too much of it, but from how the NightWing had landed, the only workable choice was to snap it off at the trunk. "We'll have to snap the branch off at the trunk."
