GUYSSS THE RP LINES ARE DEFINITELY CLUES
i've found a few that fit together:

found a wall covered with strangely shaped holes - what would go here?

found an oddly shaped piece of rock - does this fit somewhere?

pulled on a rope and heard something go 'thunk' behind the wall. What was that?

----♚ Exactly! I think we are meant to take note of the ones that seem like clues for use in a puzzle later. Perhaps this "try to enter" thing is like the turning in tokens. Only without the progress bar. If we go for it enough times collectively, eventually we will unlock something else.
