So, just rejected my first profile for being to Generic and Cliché. The old "Abused by both parents and then nearly killed by them before she was saved. Then went to live with an old lady, old lady died, morgue said it has heart failure, but character knows it was her father. Character is very, very beautiful and had all the boys after her at school but never dated any of them because they only liked her for her beauty. Character is quiet and never leaves room because she's scared that her father will be there. Never makes friends or boyfriends because her father might kill them."

I did the right thing, right? ;n;
They'd probably end up stealing the plot and running off with it.
Oh and in their own words:
"Oh, and may I mention, she has one of the darkest secrets anyone could keep. "

You absolutely did the right thing. I would have been severely disappointed had you done anything else. Mary Sues make me want to punch a baby.

I really hate the "Parents killed" cliche. xD
It so horrid.
I don't mind the abused past so much, really.
As long as it's not overly-drastic.
I really, really, really hate the "I've got a killer after me." cliche, especially in a normal RP.
In RL, if you had a killer after you, you would not be at a retreat, you'd be in witness protection and in a safe house! xD

For this example I am using a wolf RP. Anything (in these) is my personal opinion.

name: bear (He's a wolf. Not a bear. What reason do you have for naming a wolf, Bear?)
gender: guy (What's wrong with boy or even male?)
personality: strong and fierce. protects the ladies. (Oh wow. My female character is so interested. Let's date! *NOT!!!*)
super powerz: can fly and be super strong (*sigh* Yes. Cuz' all male wolves either A) be strong or B) grow wings and fly. Why must all "realistic" RPs have flying wolves?)
looks: bight blue eys and muscular. long fur and it's gray (So descriptive. I so feel like I can describe every part of you like I'm standing right there.)
other: can fly (Uh . . . you already mentioned that.)

I have to say, I've seen worse. And naming a wolf 'Bear' is actually quite common, probably because it sounds cool or something...

There's worse? Whenever I see it, I might need glasses to hide the blindness that just occured.

It's the "powers" and description that was the worse. Blue eyes and muscular, long gray fur? C'mon, they could at least try to describe a bit more! And all the male wolves are supposedly attractive. *sighs* I'll never see smartness as a power.
