Essie smiled back, taking her hand off of his chest now that the ointment wasn't hurting.

He grit his teeth and started trying to sit up.

Essie supported his back, helping him sit up. "How are you feeling? Is your throat better yet?"

He shook his head, it still burned bad from the poison as well as his blood, it all felt on fire.

Essie bit her lip. "Well, there's nothing I can do for that... you'll just have to drink a lot of cold water and wait it out."

He nodded, eyes briefly flashing defiantly as she kept telling him what to do, then frowned and looked at all her cuts, worried.

She saw him looking at her cuts, and shook her head, lifting his head so he couldn't look at them- except for the one on her cheek. "I'm fine. You took the worst of it." She had to admit, they were definitely painful, but she was honestly more worried about Ethan.

He was still frowning and tried to get up to get something to help her, trying to take the lead as usual without even realizing it.

Harry tilted his head confused,"What's a song?"

Essie helped him balance and stand, then hovered her hands around him in case he needed any other help. "I'm fine... it'll heal..." She looked at the body, and grabbed the dagger. She ran her finger over the edge, careful not to cut herself, and licked her finger. A poisoned dagger? She pressed her lips together and joined back with Ethan.
