Cobalt and Yanna


Cobalt was trotting in the stormy night. He obviously was wishing for a hot chocolate and to be sitting by a hot fire, but under today's circumstances. He was left wet outside due to the late bus.
Cobalt knew that there was no bus working what so ever and that he had to seek shelter fast.

He grumbled as he squeezed himself between two very smelly dust-bins.
'Smells of cats. Yuck!' He said.
'What are you doing there?' Asked a very sweet but sarcastic voice.
Cobalt turned his head to see a pretty girl with two odd coloured eyes. She tilted her head one way and laughed.
'Me?' Cobalt was not the kind of dog, who was lost for words. But in front of such a lady he nearly melted in her stare.
'Well? What are you doing in the middle of a night here?'
'I'm...lost.' He muttered, looking uneasily at the banana skin on top of his head. She laughed again.

'Come out then!'
He pulled himself out, his fur already dirty and a nasty smell already around him.
'So what's Mr. Handsome doing around here?'
'Going to a resturant.' Cobalt answered, trying to feel more confident this time. She laughed again.
'With one very young pretty lady,' He said, much more confident this time.
She stopped laughing and said.

'Well then, enjoy your night!' She wagged her tail and was about to go when...
'Stop!'
She turned around.
'What now?' She rolled her eyes sarcastically again.
'Aren't you going to a resturant with a very pretty lady?' She asked.
'Yes. But that lady is you...' He panted gazing into her eyes.

A few years later, Yanna gave birth to five healthy puppies and when I remember our first meaning I surely can't help laughing. As for the banana skin, I keep it at home.
On the wall, in a picture frame.
After all that banana did bring us together, in a way....
