I'm trying to do FireStar, LionHeart, LeafPool, HollyLeaf, LongTail, ect. (pretty much all my faves and more) But, when I try to erase the xtras, eyes, and mouths that I don't need but when I try to erase them, all they do is turn white. I need help

Just turn off "lock alpha" when erasing.
quitting cs soon, as soon as I get all my characters rehomed
