Lucas is 37, and grew up in the city near the BLI tower. His father was a friend of the late old mayor. Lucas' father was a trader of secrets, and although he was neither on the side of the killjoys or the government, he knew all about both. He kept all his information in a little brown leather book, and when he moved away for inexplicable reasons, he had given the booklet to Lucas.
Lucas was raised by his father, since his mother had died during childbirth. He grew up in a wealthy, well-to-do family that was always very social. Lucas is intelligent but was unmotivated in school, but later got picked up by a BLI recruiter. Motivated by his father (and the fact he liked the idea of it all) he decided to join.

Lucas is tall, (6'), and usually has a good personality about things. He's not an overly serious guy but he doesn't joke around too much either. Placid is a good word to describe him. Lucas loves bonzai trees, and that's about the only thing. He never dated too much in high school, and afterward took even less of an interest in it. He doesn't get emotionally attached easily to anyone, and tends to do things more out of logic than anything else. Everyone used to call him a sociopath at school but he was never tested (so there's no knowing if he actually is or not.) Most relationships are more forced for the sake of connections and clout than anything else, and some out of simple interest.

Lucas is still interested about the disappearance of his father (even though he pretends not to show it) and tried to peice together clues occasionally, as well as balancing work and a social life. Lucas has many aspects of his life hidden from his friends, and even though he's friendly he can be vague about his own life and is more concerned about the task at hand.
