Yay! Writing
I watch dogs stream down the streets of Northern California. But one, just one catches my eye. He has sandy hair and blue eyes. (Haha gotta figure out what dog breed he is) I walk by him and he smiles, while looking at my matted silver coat. I feel so embarrassed now! I run down an alley before anyone else can see me. Finally I'm alone!, I think to myself as just what I thought was right is wrong as I see him come out of the shadows. “Come on, you know I'm not going to let you live in the garbage”, he pauses trying to find my name on my old name tag, “Kira, nice name.” “Thanks...what's yours, I
-I mean like your name”, I say studerring. Stop, your making a fool of yourself Kira!, I think to myself. “My name is Duke, but since we are friends you can call me Duke.” “Okey...Duke, where are y-y-ou from?”,I say studerring again. “Here, where are you from?”, Duke says mocking my question. “Here”, I say looking over at the garbage can. “Not anymore.”, he says snickering. Where are we going, I think just as we start walking across an unpacked street. He runs and I try to catch up. Finally we arrive at this huge house. Just before we go in I ask Duke,“Are you sure they'll let me stay?” He nods and scratches on the door waiting for his owners to come. When she comes she looks through the glass and sees me. She won't let me in, I think. She opens the door and says,“Duke, who is this?” She takes my collar and looks at the name. “Kira... Nice name”, she says as she yells,“Tim, can we keep this dog?” A man comes in and looks at me,“Sure, just we might wanna clean her up.”, he says picking me up. I squeal and he carries me to the bath. (Not going to say this part cuz it will take to long) After the bath I come out and my fur is SUPER shiny. I've never been this shiny in days, I think to myself. Duke pads up to me and says,“Nice, now isn't this better than living in the garbage?” “Yes”, I murmured under my breath, admitting it. Now come on ill show you around.”
4 MONTHS LATER
I've been living in this house for 4 months, and I have to admit. I like it. Like a lot! I give my owners the look and go outside. Just as I walk out of our property. I get shoved in a brown sac.
