Nightpaw let out a tiny chuckle. "Well, one time I gave my nursery too many poppy seeds I stole so she'd pass out!"

"Really? That must have been a long sleep!" Rose purred, she smiled brightly and stood up. "So, how does the prey in the wild taste?"

[Olivesaurus]

"You mean you haven't hunted or eaten yet? Follow me!" Nightpaw padded out of the den, over to the fresh-kill pile.

Rose followed Nightpaw to the prey pile, she had in fact not eaten anything since she left the twolegplace.

"Then go do so, Honeypaw. We'll be battle training today." Smokestar meowed.

(How far is she in her training?)

"What, were you expecting me to be?" Nightpaw asked, rolling his eyes.

((Well she is 9 moons so about half way I guess.))

Honeypaw gave her mentor a nod and scurried off to the fresh-kill pile, grabbing a small mouse she settled down in a far corner of camp to quickly eat. Worry flooded over her, her battle skills were just aweful still even after 3 moons of training.

"Okay, let's try a mouse. They're my favorite. They taste a bit like the seeds they eat. But they're nice and juicy." Nightpaw chose a mouse out, giving it to Rose.

Smokestar sat down patiently, allowing her to take her time and eat.

Honeypaw quickly gulped down the bites of her prey as Smokestar was waiting for her. After finishing her quick meal she disposed of the bones and rushed back to her mentor, "O-ok, I'm ready." She told him with her usual shy, meek tone.

Smokestar smiled. "Good. Now come on, we've got work to do." Smokestar was used to her shy tone, and he lead her to the training hollow.

Honeypaw just nodded to him and followed him to the training hollow. The area in the oak trees was perfect for practicing hunter's crouches and battle moves.

Rose sits besides him and takes the small mouse, "I've seen them a lot in the twolegpalce, along with rats but I've never ate one." She leaned down to take a bite. "Mm!" Her eyes widened a bit, she took another bite her hunger soon fading away.
