Shadowkit curled up yawning tiredly. He hadn't been sleeping lately for fear of something happening to him. He kept his eyes open and scanning.

"No. Why?" Swiftsong replied, taking another bite out of the mouse.

Pigeontail patted the marigold away and drew out the feverfew instead. One ear twitching in the direction of the kit, and the medicine cat turned her narrow muzzle his way, eyes bright. "Is there anything you need?" she asked him quietly, absentmindedly fiddling with a feverfew leaf.

He shrugged slightly, mismatched gaze alight with interest. "Only wondering." he rumbled. "I haven't myself, so I was thinking of going hunting soon to stretch my legs." he stated, lowering his head to nibble at the fresh-kill again. "It'd be nice to have company." he added with a wink.

"Want me to come with you?" Swiftsong asked the handsome tom.

"No thank you. I think I'm tired but I don't want anything to happen again." Shadowkit said quietly. He still did not trust the clan cats thinking they would get rid of him any second.

She stared back at him, not entirely convinced. "Well if there is, just let me know." she rumbled softly, turning back to her herbs and fixing up the feverfew with a few deft paw movements. She slid it back into the crevice where it was stored and then lay her head down with a soft sigh. She wasn't tired, really, but more so just a little bored. Besides, she was keeping an eye on Shadowkit.

Heronleap grinned again, licking his muzzle. "I would indeed," he replied, straightening up a little and blinking at her. He pushed the mouse her way. "Finish it, if you like." he added, leaning back to show he was full.

Swiftsong nodded and finished off the mouse. "Ready?" She asked, standing up.

Shadowkit's eyes slowly closed of their own accord making his drop his head onto his paws. His tail twitched in time with his uneven breaths.

The white tom rose to his paws just as she did, stretching slightly and lifting his tail. "Yup!" he replied, grinning, as he turned and began to head towards the camp exit. He glanced back at the other warrior, then pushed through out into the territory, taking a deep breath of the forest scents.

Swiftsong followed Heronleap. She padded through the forest by his side, relishing the soft, crisp air.
