Shadowkit followed the tawny she-cat shyly. He didn't want to bother any cat since he didn't belong in the clan. His wide orange eyes watched her very intently.

Tigerkit laid down; bored from playing with her leaf. She curled up into a ball and rested her tail over her nose.

Swiftsong yawned; bored.

(Can Swiftsong and Tigerkit be sisters?)

She guided him back towards the medicine den, quite glad she'd just cleared it out. The kit didn't look like a troublemaker, but she could never be too careful. Pigeontail halted in the den and turned around to face him. "Sit right here." she instructed kindly, before spinning right back around and off to her stores. Picking out one small juniper berry, she padded back to the dark-furred youngster and held out the berry to him, hooked on her claw. "Eat this, please." she murmured, sitting down.

Holding his mouse, he frowned slightly. He wasn't too hungry, but he couldn't just run this back now that he'd taken it. As his eyes darted around they fell on a cat nearby--Swiftsong. Well, it was worth a shot, right? Heronleap trotted over to her, his ears pricked up. Pausing before her, he let the mouse neatly fall from his jaws so he could speak properly. "Uh, would you care to share this mouse with me?" he asked with a slight smile. He sat down, his white coat smooth.

Swiftsong looked up. "Sure." She purred to him.

Shadowkit did as he was told first sniffing the berries. He gulped them down and then cocked his head to the side waiting to be told what to do next.

The medicine cat drew back her paw and set it down, then gazed down at the kit with kind hazel eyes. "There." she murmured, lifting her head. "If you don't mind, could you stay here for a little bit? Go choose one of those nests--" she gestured to her left with her tail, where a few patches of mossy nests lay, "--and relax there. I'd like to monitor you for a bit to see if there's anything else wrong." she finished, giving him a gentle smile.

Heronleap swished his tail with pleasure. "Great! I don't think I could eat it all on my own, I'm just not that hungry." he rumbled, slowly nudging the mouse towards her. "Here, have first bite." he offered with a dashing grin. The white tom arranged his paws neatly in front of him and watched Swiftsong.

Swiftsong blinked her blue eyes at him. She took a bite, then pushed it back towards Heronleap. She smiled at him. Why am I not being shy with him, like I am with every other cat? She thought.

Shadowkit made his way over to the closet nest and laid down. He had his tiny pink nose in the air sniffing the many scents in the den. He was interested in what each one was and which ones smelled best.

Watching the kit settle in a nest, Pigeontail wiped her claw on the ground and then moved over to sit down by the herb stores. She gazed at the little tom for a moment, then busied herself with stacking some of the marigold. Her hope was that Shadowkit just had simple ache and nothing more. Happened often enough, and was easy to treat. If the juniper didn't work, then she'd have to think again.

The large white tom wrapped his tail around his haunches. He lowered his head to take a bite of the mouse after her, savoring the musty flavors. Then he nudged it back towards the she-cat. "Have you been out of camp today?" he queried conversationally, licking his muzzle and twitching his ears in her direction.
