Embertail nodded his head. "I can see that. There are many scents leading this way including the scent of a cat not from the clan." He said watching the embarrassed apprentice. "Be careful chasing after strange scents on your own."

Shadowkit watched Snowstar and a warrior he didn't know quite yet. He walked a short distance to the fk pile and only stared at it.

Firepaw nodded. "I know, I know. I was just trying to explore. I didn't think I'd smell any other cats... Should we alert Snowstar?" She asked, concerned. "He might want to know about any strangers around.. It could be in our territory."

He trembled, unable to walk any further. He saw a safe-looking spot under a tiny patch of brambles, but it was across a channel of water. He limped forward, hoping he could get across without having to swim. Not far downstream he saw a branch had fallen across the water and was lodged against a boulder. He padded over to it and stepped out, testing the strength of the branch. It wobbled a bit, but was seemingly safe. He started across, forcing himself to put weight on his leg to make sure he didn't fall, tail quaking in pain and nervousness

Pigeontail stretched her stiff muscles and shoved the remaining old bits of herb to the side pile where she could clear it out later. For now, she was starving. The skinny light medicine cat rose to her paws and sauntered out of her den, the tip of her tail sweeping gently back and forth. She shook her short sleek coat and paused by the fresh-kill pile, then lowered her head and snatched out a small sparrow. As she lifted her head she noticed the young kit across the pile. Tilting her head with a small smile, she leaned forwards and blinked at Shadowkit. "You can take something to eat, you know." she murmured lightly, eyes twinkling. She was assuming he was old enough--for a moment her mind forgot.

(( heheheh ooops forgot to respond to that one. I even saw it. I'm so forgetful sometimes xD oh and the training place is unofficially called the training clearing xD I'm not good with names ))

Snowstar nodded. "Sounds good!" He walked to the entrance as well, checking that the apprentices were following

Foxpaw trotted over after Creeksight excitedly. Catching up to them, she walked by Wasppaw. "This is gonna be fun!"

Creeksight led the way out of camp, twitching her grey ears. As she weaved through the forest towards the training clearing, she stayed silent, whilst the apprentices chattered in the rear. She didn't bother making conversation with Snowstar, but if he desired to she'd reply. The slim warrior kept her gaze forwards as she strode on calmly, going through thoughts of what she might work on this evening. She wasn't sure if they'd start out separate, but she'd have to discuss with the other mentor first before they began, she supposed.

The young tom sprang after his mentor, sliding into an easy gait just behind. As Foxpaw caught up and matched his pace, he glanced over and grinned at her. "Yeah!" he agreed, tail lifting up with delight. "It'll be great having another apprentice to fight." Wasppaw chirped. "Not that Snowstar's less..interesting, of course." he added hastily, casting a glance to the grey-and-white tom ahead.

Foxpaw chuckled, then lowered her voice. "He's young, for a clan leader. Thistlestar chose him as deputy because he's a worthy fighter and seems to get along alright with the clan cats. He also expected to live longer and for his deputy to age and gain experience with passing time, instead of the wolf attack and him... Having Snowstar take over so soon. Snowstar's.. Interesting, as you said, but he really tries his best. Don't mind his... Oddness." She nudged him. "Besides, he's a great fighter. You'll learn all kinds of cool stuff!"

(( as you might see, as much as she refuses to admit it to herself or others, she sees the clan leader as a father figure after all, it was him who took in Firepaw and Foxpaw after they were abandoned ))

Wasppaw twitched his ears, and grinned sheepishly. He flicked his tail over at her. "Oh, I know! Don't worry, I think he's a wonderful mentor!" he meowed, bobbing his head in emphasis. The young tom gave her a gentle nudge in return. "I just thought it'd be a nice change to have another apprentice to fight as well." he finished, tilting his head at her and smiling softly now.

Embertail nodded his head. "Indeed he would love to know. Shall we go tell him together?" He asked stretching his back legs. He was tired and could go for a nap right about now.

Shadowkit looked up at the medicine cat and then to his stomach. It seemed upset today and hurt quite a bit yet he did not want to waste the cat's time. He shook his head and backed away slowly. "My stomach is hurting today I would rather not." He squeaked out softly.

The tawny feline tilted her head again and lifted her ears, noting the kit's actions. "Oh, do not worry little one," she murmured, dropping the sparrow she'd got and stepping around the pile closer towards Shadowkit. "Come with me and we'll fix you up." she finished, flicking her long slim tail around him and nudging very gently as she turned to head towards her den.
