Once he said three Hopea dashed off towards the island, diving down quite a bit to gain speed again. Her wings beated quickly so that she would keep the same speed, if anything a bit faster, as she flew down.

Phantom dived bombed into the water, coming back up he swirled in circles, he flapped his wings now and again. He tried for another dive bomb, ending up flying under another type of dragon. He laughed and locked eyes with the island. I'm close, there's no way Hopea can't beat me now, he thought picking up his speed.

Hopea watched him for a moment, and smirked. She dived down again, getting closer to the island every second. Narrowing her eyes on where she was aiming, the dragoness dashed towards it, skimming the water as quickly as she could.

She continued to heave up sand. Ugh, how long was I breathing in sand in my unconscious state?! She thought to herself. She greedily gulped in air before collapsing onto the sand. Sophia whimpered, before passing out, again.

Phantom peaked behind him, Hopea was close, he smirked and speed up. Phantom was close, his face was ready to win. Hopea is going to be close to the island any minute, he thought

Hopea glanced at him and sighed softly, there was no way she was going to win now. Oh well, might as well just try, she thought, and attempted to pass him, but her wing got caught in the water and slowed her down.

Phantom sighed, why did he feel bad? Before he reached the island, phantom dived down and picked Hopea up. He laughed got to a point where the island was close "Okay, last checkpoint, let's really see who is the best" he smirked.

Hopea looked at him as he picked her up, and wriggled out of his grip, "Alright," She said, why did you do that? You could've won the race, I would've been fine, she thought, looking over to where the island was and readying herself to go again.
