How did you find Chicken Smoothie?: A good few years ago a friend told me about it, I do adore 'pet trading games'. She no longer plays and I have just begun.
What do you like best so far?: Trades, the pound, and the large quantity of pets you can adopt and start with.
Any questions?: Must you be apart of forms to make this site enjoyable? Or can one simply stick with only adopting pets? Also, personal 'adoptions' posted by other people. When it says you can adopt a pet rather then trade. How does this work?

You do not need to be part of the forums but the forums are awesome ways to make new friends and help with trading for creatures you want.

For your second question, basically you send a trade to that member and add the pet from the group that they have stated and you leave a message and then send the trade and they will accept it. Make sure to follow all of their rules

The adopt a newbie program can last as long as you would like. You can always contact your adopter, or send in a help ticket if you need help. I would assign you one right now, but we're still waiting on a large update.

Hello everyone! Sorry about my little hiatus from AAN lately, I was quite busy in June and didn't have any time for CS. However I'm back now, and as far as updates go I believe noleah & Panne are still working on the mass update, so all I can do right now is answer any questions you may have. We'll assign your adopters and update the list as soon as possible. Feel free to contact me about any individual or personal concerns you have, or post your questions right on the thread.

Also thank you very much to lucky333123 who was able to regularly answer questions and concerns while we were out. As well as everyone else who helped answer questions when they could, we and the new members appreciate it!

Any questions?: tons and tons but i'll start with this: how do you make your sigs? they're way different and cooler than normal sigs (not with stamps) stacking images and word between images and stuff :3

Chickensmoothie forums run on BB code, which a fairly easy coding language to use. From the basics of bold italic and underline, also comes colors, etc. You also have the option to position your text to the center, left, or right. With those options and a little bit of freedom people end up getting quite crafty with signatures. Many people use images from tumblr.com, deviantart.com, or other sites to decorate their signature. They also use text encoding sites like fontmeme.com, and some even use characters provided by their computer's keyboard. ( ex; ♥ ) With all those options members code their own signatures, and sometimes even posts. You can find members to create a signature for you while you get comfortable with BBcoding, there's quite a few signature shops in the Art Shops Forum. Some require payment, some are free. You can even put in your signature that you're looking for someone to make you a signature, and they'll PM you if they're interested.

How did you make the website?
Tess originally learned HTML and CSS, then built the website using her coding knowledge in the HTML-editor Dreamweaver. The latest version of Dreamweaver is called Dreamweaver CS5 and can be found here. If you understand HTML, you can write your website using any free text editor instead, such as the excellent Notepad++. You can find some tutorials on HTML and other web technologies at w3schools.

Our current site was designed by Tess (using Photoshop), Nick wrote the code that powers the website behind the scenes using PHP.

In the past members such as myself have made websites with similar forum layouts like CS using Proboards.com, it's a free PHP forum building website. You can even customize your site using their site.

The site is built & coded like this because that's how Tess & Nick orginally created it, while other sites use a different form of coding.

Once upon a time (about 4 years ago at a guess) I wanted to make a site which had little adoptable people, but it was kind of like Gaia Online, so your person was your avatar and you basically just used forums and stuff. Anyways, the site never went anywhere, but the site was meant to be a mixture of random stuff (a blend, if you will) (like a Smoothie!)

I was also obsessed with chickens at the time due to looking after somebody's pet chickens for a week (the chickens actually liked to be cuddled, it was awesome) I used to constantly tell anyone who would listen, that chickens were conspiring to take over the world. I was a weird kid.

so anyway, I called the people-adoptable site Chicken Smoothie I made an email address with chickensmoothie in it, to go with the site, but the site never went anywhere at all so I just started using chickensmoothie as a username (e.g. www.chickensmoothie.deviantart.com I signed up with that username a few years ago xD)

I opened this site when I wanted to move my other old website (based on PC game 'Petz') onto a proper domain, but I picked my username chickensmoothie as the domain name.. so for a while the site was named Silent Wolf Kennelz, hosted on chickensmoothie.com

then I started making adoptables and ditched the old petz name SWK in favour of Chicken Smoothie to match the domain

now, seeing as I've used it as a username for so long, it's like the site is named after me XD hence why I never refer to the pets as 'chicken smoothies', as some people do. To me, I'm the only chicken smoothie!

so really, it has nothing to do with these adoptables and was never intended to match this site at all, but at least it's original and stays in peoples minds XD

I have been on CS for 2 years now. And I know a bit about

When I get on varies, the internet is at my grandmothers
house. So when I want to get on, I have to go there. But I can get on
every day of the week, if needed.

I literally spend all day on CS, through most of the week.
