Luke didn't respond. He just sat there, trembling. The padding wrapped around his sides came undone and fell off and the wound in his belly re-opened, but he still didn't move. After a while, he just slowly slumped down to the ground and closed his eyes, while his breathing got weaker and weaker...

Yara grabbed Luke in his jaws, dropping the human's head. Instinctively he ran back to the vets place. They had helped him after all, it wasn't their fault his body had enough. He let out a whine as he crashed through their door, large splinters of wood getting stuck in his body, although he didn't really care. The pain was dulled now anyway. He put Luke on a table and whined again, but louder. "Help my son. Let him live, please. Don't look at me you idiot, help my son!"

"Okay, okay..." Eternity picked Luke up and took him in to the same room as Raven, then left the door open to call Yara in. "Come on boy, you can see your other friend in here!"

Raven was still undergoing surgery to fix his jugular, but so far it wasn't looking good...

Yara dragged himself in, able to put absolutely no weight on his back legs now. A frown formed on his face as he watched Raven's surgery, knowing he could have stopped it from happening made him frown even more. Maybe it was best that he did die? Sure he killed a few bad guys, but never before any of his friends got hurt, usually seriously...

The heart monitor that Raven was connected up to suddenly made a very long beeping sound...The vet working on him checked his face and gums- He had literally gone blue. He was quickly given an oxygen mask, but it didn't do much.

Yara barked at Raven, telling him to keep going. Raven had to stay with Shadow pack, even if he wasn't there with him. "Raven. Fight it. Come on. You're stronger than this, you can make it! Don't make me come after you!" He knew that it wouldn't help but he felt a little better inside for at least trying to help him pull through. "Raven, please. Don't do this to me, to Shiva, to your pups. Be a man, keep fighting until you just can't any more. You still have time, fight it!"

Raven could hear Yara, but he couldn't respond....

Yara dipped his head to his friend, curling up on the floor but not letting the growing tiredness in his body take over. He knew what waited in his slumber, death, and he wasn't quite ready to go. Not until he knew both Luke and Raven were safe. Whether he had to hold onto it, every bit of pain awake in his body, he would. Because he knew they were worth it, no question.
