Ellie tried to reach into Jack's mind, some of it was blocked but he looked through some thoughts, most were about Pierce, then retreated out of his head, he turned to look at the Doctor, again he had defenses but he went through the ones that weren't blocked, finding out about some old friends, and one named Rose, tragic. He came back out and into his own mind, the whole time he had just stood there and stood straight ahead at the doctor and jack, he then blinked and shook his head, acting as if he had zoned out.

"Oh yeah, Torchwood's more into the fighting of aliens, though. We have lasers rather than bullets. Bullets are like paintball guns to our standards," Jack smiled. "But you'd need a little training with the scanners, and they don't worry about image there." Jack squeezed Pierce's hand gently. "Course not."

"Scanners and image...Okay, I can do that, but I would like to talk about your hearts, I mean I've met someone before like that...they weren't the best person, Pierce knows that about as much as I do.." Ellie said.

"No, you haven't met him yet. But I suppose he's like the master in a way, but quieter and less insane, and with motives. He's called The Writer." Ellie said sighing.

"The Writer.. So he's a Time Lord, I assume.. Is there anyone called Danielle in your memory? Or the Joker?" Eleven asked.

"Y-yes, The Writer tried to kill me, i can't remember why, then when Pierce saved me he left with a girl anmed The Joker, and they told me to never tell anyone i had seen them. The Writer was my brother, we have the same mother but different fathers." Ellie said.
