It is really sad how Pit Bulls get a bad reputation, and "family friendly" breeds don't.
My father owned a Pit Bull.
I was four or three years old at the time.
Although I don't remember much of her, I do remember how sweet and caring this Pit Bull was.
I have a memory of washing her in the bathtub with my dad, asking if we could call her "Scrappy-Doo".
Her actual name was Brendy, and I'll never forget it.
My father loved her.
Sadly, she got hit by a car.
My dad had to put her down, and it killed him I'm sure, to see her go as he loved her so much.
But I know, the vets let her go without pain.
Now, aside from Pit Bulls, Labradors and Golden Retriever can be just as "vicious" as a Pit Bull.
If they are not trained properly.
If a dog doesn't have an owner that'll commit to it, you'll end up on the news sooner or later about your dog biting a child.
It doesn't matter what breed, gender or size of the dog.
Hell, a Chihuahua can be just as dangerous.
It's not just Pit Bulls, German Shepherds, and Rottweilers.
It's every breed of dog out there.
Ignorant and arrogant people who refuse to believe this, make sweet dogs like Pit Bulls, have a bad rep.
Not only them, but people who choose to breed and turn these dogs into fighting dogs.
Unbelievable.
