1. Poor WiFi
2. Delete one of your Wonder Cards (on the Mystery Gift menu, the Check Card option), to make room for the Mew.

If all else fails, I can give you a shiny Mew.

I have pretty good WiFi, and no Wonder Cards (or maybe I do but I don't know I have one). Strange. I've never been really good with Pokemon WiFi things though, so it doesn't really surprise me.

Or, it's one other thing. What game are you using? The Mew is only for HG/SS, it seems. *Tried getting it on Pearl, but no such luck*

Why, yes, you can~

To be honest, that's how I did my speed runs on Soul Silver. For example, on my current file, I purposely picked Totodile to make the rival pick Chikorita. THEN, I bred a Charmander on Pearl, hatched the egg on Soul Silver so it would have my SS OT and obey me, and then traded it back to Pearl to train it, and finally, traded it back to SS when I was done.

Simply put, I had a completely-obedient level 37 Charizard with Flare Blitz, Dragon Dance, Earthquake, and Roost before even leaving Cherrygrove to go to the Sprout Tower. XD
