Ok I just made this story based on something that happened to me a while ago, its called: NIGHTMARES.

I stood at the window and screamed. There was the woman with the dark cloak and the hood over her head. I never saw her face. She clutched a knife stained with blood. My blood. I looked at the deep slice in my arm and shuddered. This woman/ghost had been haunting me ever since I moved to this house. I looked at the time. 12 in the afternoon. I looked back out the window and Gaped in horror. She was gone. She could be anywhere. She could be in my room right now. I looked around uneasily. She wasn’t in here, then where could she be? I turned around and there she was. In my room. I screamed as she let out a hideous screech and held her knife high. I ran out of the room screaming and upstairs, where my mum was.
“Ally, Ally, what is it?” my mum said in despair.
“Help me,” I whispered through tears. Then I got up and grabbed my mum by the hand. “You have to see something,” I told her. She followed me downstairs into my room. The woman was gone. I felt relief wash over me. My mum rolled her eyes and went back upstairs. That night, I got in bed and drifted off to sleep. In my dream the woman was chasing me. Chasing me through a forest. She caught hold of my hand. I turned. Then I woke screaming, and of course looking at the foot of my bed. There stood the ghost woman. I screamed and got mum. Of course when I got back the woman was gone. Again. My mum went back upstairs. I heard a screech from outside and a knife scratching my window. I pulled the covers over my head and prayed she wouldn’t find me. The next morning it was unusually cold when I woke. I looked at my duvet. I was in shreds. I felt fear creep throughout my body, as my spine tingled. At least it’s not me in shreds. I looked around to see what other damage she had caused. Nothing was different. Just my duvet. Suddenly a pain hit my shin. I looked down. There was the woman’s knife, lodged into my shin. Tears welled up in my eyes. It hurt, sure, but I cried in fear as that hadn’t been there a few seconds ago, so obviously the ghost was in my room right now. And trying to kill me. Any other kid would have cried and cried with pain, but I’d rather this than being killed. Blood was flowing out of my wound and the knife was gone. I cursed at the invisible ghost. My blood was all over the bed and my mum would be worried. I went upstairs to find my mum and ask her for a bandage.
“Mum!,” I called. No reply. I went to my mums room to check on her. There she was, lying on her bed, in a pool of blood.

The part that happened to me was this part:
In my dream the woman was chasing me. Chasing me through a forest. She caught hold of my hand. I turned. Then I woke screaming, and of course looking at the foot of my bed. There stood the ghost woman. I screamed and got mum. Of course when I got back the woman was gone. Again. My mum went back upstairs. I heard a screech from outside and a knife scratching my window. I pulled the covers over my head and prayed she wouldn’t find me.

(( This isn't true, my friend told it to me at a party x3 ))

Lexy padded downstairs in her fluffy slippers, the sounds of her mom's frantic thwacks on the door ringing in her ears. As she tugged open the handle, her eyes flew to the bundle in her mother's arms. "Ohmigosh! It's so cute, mom, where'd you find it?" "It was wandering the streets, all alone." It was a tiny, grey kitten with piercing blue eyes, very wet and skinny. "Can we keep it?" Lexy asked, and when her mom said yes, she carried the kitten upstairs to her room. "I'm gonna call you... Misty, coz you're grey." That night, Lexy saved her serving of the tuna casserole her mom had made - Lexy hated fish, anyway- and fed it to Misty instead, and when they went to sleep, Misty was curled up on her shoulder.

Lexy jolted awake, disturing Misty who was still on her shoulder. She thought she had heard a faint whispering, but decided it was just some drunks outside, and went back to sleep.

The next morning, when Lex woke up, Misty's eyes were already open and the small cat was staring at her without blinking. Lexy scooped her up and carried her downstairs, fixing the cat a bowl of milk. She went to reach for her usual Special K cereal, but had a weird craving for tuna instead. She had a bowl of tuna casserole for breakfast, and a glass of milk. "Taking after your cat a bit, Lex? You've never liked tuna before." her mom commented.

Soon after breakfast, Lexy got a call from one of her friends asking if she wanted to meet up at the local park. She set off on her bike, leaving a relucant cat at home alone. She pedalled quickly to her small group of friends- Allie, Coco, Georgie and Lucy- and hopped off, sitting with them at a picnic table. In the middle of a debate between orange and purple nailpolish, Lexy heard Coco scream. "Ohhhhmmyygossh it's a mouse!! Ew, ew, ew!!" Coco leapt onto the table, eyes fixed on the small, brown, furry intruder. Lexy went to join them, but a strange instinct stopped her, and without meaning to, Lex pounced on the rodent, picking it up by the tail.

"Ew! Ew, Lexy! What are you doing?!"

Lexy was shocked, and dropped the mouse quickly, unable to explain why she had attacked it. "Um, sorry, guys." She left quickly, a bit embarresed at her behaviour, and very confused. What is happening to me?

That night, Lexy fell asleep again with Misty curled on her shoulder, but again she woke up, but this time the whispering was clearer.

"Nine lives, nine lives left. I will have your body, before I've lived my nine. Nine lives, nine lives left."

Lexy shivered, pulling her head under the covers. It's Misty! she realised with a jolt of terror. Misty is trying to kill me! She resolved to get rid of the cat the next day, before anything else could happen.

In the morning, all affection for the cat had gone. Lexy grabbed her by the scruff and trapped her under a box, while thinking up what to do.

She released Misty onto a road far away, hoping that the cat would be lost, and hopefully run over. She drove home as quickly as she could, locking all the doors as well. Lex had only been home for a while before a tearful mother came home, giving Lex a hug. "Oh, hun, I'm so sorry, but we found Misty on the road. She got run over, honey." Lexy was completely relived, she finally felt safe, and went to bed with a smile on her face. That night, however, she woke up again.

"Eight lives, eight lives left. I will have your body, before I've lived my nine. Eight lives, eight lives left."

I don't know if this one has been posted but I rather like it. There are several different variations of this story told.

Finals were approaching the college students and Amber was frantic. She had to ace these tests. But there was also a party and she wasn't one to resist a party. Her room mate had mentioned studying that night together, but Amber denied saying maybe later that night or the next. She went to the party and stayed out much later then she thought she would have. Walking back with another friend they separated at the entrance to the dorm building. She went up to her room and found that the lights were all off and figured her roommate had went to bed. To avoid waking her she left the lights off and stumbled toward her side of the room to climb into bed. When she woke in the morning she found her roommate dead and a message written in her blood on the wall "Aren't you glad you didn't turn on the lights?"
