Willowstar flicked here ears. She wasn't done with the meeting yet. "Before I am finished, I have one more ceremony." She stated. "Gorsethroat, is it your wish to give up the name of a warrior and go to join the elders?"
Gorsethroat stepped forward. "It is."
Willowstar dipped her head. "Your Clan honors you and all the service you have given to us. I call upon StarClan to give you many moons of rest." She touched her nose to her brother's. And then she continued. "Spirits of StarClan, you know every cat by name. I ask you now to take away the name from the cat you see before you, for it no longer stands for what he/she is. By my authority as Clan leader, and with the approval of our warrior ancestors, I give this cat a new name. From this moment on he will be known as Gorsesong, for His loyalty and care for the clan." She meowed his new name, and it felt.. different to call her brother 'Gorsesong' instead of Gorsethroat. With a small, unreadable hint of glimmer in her eyes, she leaped off of the highrock and put her chin on top of Gorsesong's head, closing her eyes for a long moment, before they both licked eachother on the shoulder. "You will always be my brother, Gorse." She promised.
Gorsesong smiled. "Thank you, Willow." He meowed. His bony figure dipped his head, and trotted away to the elders den.
