seriously though if your computer is running slow, do some simple stuff like run your antivirus software (microsoft security essentials is free and great), and clean out old files - go to START > PROGRAMS > ACCESSORIES > SYSTEM TOOLS > DISC CLEANUP. that is an easy way to clean up temporary files that your computer is keeping around that you probably don't need, and to make sure you do stuff like clean out your recycle bin. if you consider yourself competent with computers, i recommend downloading the free utility called CCleaner and using it to check out any malware or similar that might be lurking around (but be careful with it and just let it do its recommended thing instead of deleting stuff willy-nilly). if you REALLY want to be a compu-whiz, go to the same system tools as above and find Disc Defragmenter. (this will put files on your computer 'closer together', so they are easier to access, instead of bits being scattered around.) (ok that's way simplified but let's go with it.) it may take all night to run. but while it's busy chugging away doing that, it's a great time to clean the outside of your computer, too - use isopropanol/cleaning alcohol (little swabs like you use before putting on a bandaid are perfect), NOT water!, windex on the screen if you must, but generally some rubbing alcohol, kleenex and elbow grease will do things up grand! then you'll have a clean computer, INSIDE AND OUT! :>
oh and for the problem about Unity... have you tried completely deinstalling and then reinstalling Unity from scratch? that will most likely solve the problem I'd imagine c: if not there's nothing to lose so to speak! good luck!
