The Egyptian revolution.
english.ahram.org wrote:Simply put, the Egyptian revolution was made of a hundred teams who all revolted against Hosni Mubarak to overthrow his regime, but there was no leading force to shape the revolution and thus directly reach power. All these forces succeeded in overthrowing Mubarak and the top tier of his regime, but they could not agree on the handover of power because of their ideological and political differences. In the end, the decision was left to the ballot boxes, irrespective of their credibility or integrity.

Name: Anubis. He was the god of embalming and the dead.
Gender: Male
Facts: Anubis is the Egyptian god of embalming and the dead. His most distinct feature would be that he has a canine face; that of a jackal. This makes him unique from the other gods and easily points out who he is. He was a protector of graves and was previously the ruler of the Underworld until Osiris took his place. Despite being one of the more well known Egyptian gods, he wasn't all that big in the myths and is rarely mentioned in them. He was also a god who ushered souls into the afterlife. His jackal head was supposed to relate to the fact that jackals tended to hang around graves but they are scavengers and normally dig up bones and bodies while Anubis was the guardian of the grave. So his mask is contradicting what he presents. "Anubis is associated with Wepwawet , another Egyptian god portrayed with a dog's head or in canine form, but with grey or white fur. Historians assume that the two figures were eventually combined. Anubis' female counterpart is Anput. His daughter is the serpent goddess Kebechet."

I took an Egyptian Art Class in college and this was my favorite style of art. This is Akhenaten, an Egyptian Ruler, with his family. During his rule the art style was changed, from the thick stiff solider look, to this skinny more animated look. They also had longer faces and fuller lips. And they participated in the "style" of the time of head wrapping, which elongated the back of the head, making them look sort of alien. They've found skulls proving this so it wasn't just an artist choice.
