I thought Soon, Reay, soon. the cave plan didn't work, so we'll try again, just be cooperative. I said "I see your point, we should keep traveling."

Lysine:
I ran through the normal forest, when i had crossed the line into the Dark Forest. I could hear two Hunters and a Manticore... I scurried up a tree to avoid the Hunters...

Abiline nodded. They traveled for a while, Abiline just thinking to herself. Suddenly she said, "Are we close yet? You said it's pretty near a while ago... also, I've seen no fire..."

I looked off to my near right, toward the trees I had come from. I then turned my gaze to the open area ahead. This area had few rocks and little cover. If I was forced to run in that direction, if I was spotted, I would have to zig zag to avoid possible arrows. I turned and looked back at the direction from which I came, somewhat awaiting the possible arrival of two hunters. I quickly made sure I had picked a good spot to hide before silently watching the trees.

Reay:
What the foolish Centaur hadn't noticed was that I had shifted under the cover of the night, and I was stalking it from not far behind. I slinked out from behind a rock, my muscles bulging and glistening with perspiration. I said "It's time someone dealt with overly-curious Centaurs like you." I bristled up and let out a fearsome, lion-like roar as I slashed my scorpion tail outwards to show intimidation.

Lysine:
I clumsily fell out of the trees, and the Hunters were not far behind me. I would get up, but there was a Manticore not far from the open ground I fell at. My arm felt broken, as did my ribs. Pain sparked up my torso like a snake. I groaned in pain, then quickly shut my mouth in case someone-or something-had heard me.

I heard a thud from nearby, if I poked my head from behind the rocks I would risk being spotted. I slowly poked my head out from the rocks, ready to duck at any given moment. I blinked at the sight of the larger manticore who appeared to be in pain. My gaze flashed from the manticore to the undergrowth and trees, and the trees on the other side of the open space. I knew that if they found that manticore, they would check the rocks for more. I also knew that it was likely that I would be of much help defending the manticore, I was currently built for surprise attacks, not actual fighting for I had less of a chance. My last option was to make a run for it, sprint across the open land to cover on the other side and leave this manticore behind. It wasn't like I had known this manticore my whole life and therefore I didn't value its. I had to make my decision quickly for I was running out of time. I leapt outfrom behind the rocks and began to run toward the trees on the other side of the opening. Don't look back, don't look back. I silently told myself. I looked back, causing myself to stop in my tracks or risk tripping. I snarled at myself, I couldn't defend this manticore so I have to fend for my own life, not its. I turned, but I didn't run into the undergrowth. I just stared at it, struggling with my decisions.

Eric:
I could sense that the Manticore was near. I trotted up to the open patch of grass silently, and I saw an injured or dead Manticore on the ground, and the other one stopped, staring at it. i thought The Manticore must've killed the other one for territory. Then I heard the injured Manticore make a noise. I got off my horse and aimed an arrow at the Manticore on the grounds, hoping to kill it.

My fur raised a bit when the two hunters came into view, I watched as he observed us then drew an arrow, I do not value its life for we have no connection. Therefore I must value my own, I must protect my own. If I were to save this being at the cost of my own life, it wouldn't do the same for me. I thought, staring as the scene of the manticores near death. They wouldn't do the same for me. I thought, suddenly I charaged. Leaping and standing over the manticores body, shielding it. A deep growl rumbled in my throat. Fool, she wouldn't have done the same for you. Fool! I thought as my ruby red stare meet the hunters. The look in my eyes reflected a sense of protection, as if I had valued this manticores life.

Eric:
I directly aimed the arrow at the Manticore protecting it, as did my assistant. I released and it hit the Manticore standing up. I quickly pulled out my sword, ready for a counterattack.

Lysine:
The last thing I saw before I blacked out was another Manticore standing up above me. My only thoughts before I passed out were I hope it doesn't get hurt but as I passed out, I heard the arrow be released from it's bow and I knew it was pointed at the Manticore above me.

As Lucky entered the forest the manticore started following her, much to her annoyance as if she was prey. She dashed deeper into the forest trying to escape his view. She hide in the shelter of a large oak tree and watched the manticore move on.

I let out a small yelp when the arrow dug deep into my shoulder. I snarled, stepping in front of the fallen manticore. I remained in that spot, looking from one hunter to the next. I knew I shouldn't leap at either of them or I could end up with an arrow or sword in my chest. I lowered my head, still growling.
