Something jumped into Abiline's path. She considered jumping over it, kicking it down, or shooting it, but she decided to skid to a stop. She drew an arrow and readied it anyway. "Why are you in my way...? If you are a dark creature, I should shoot you now..." she said tensely.

I gave it my most innocent face, and I said "I am not dark? I am just a lost human looking for my family. Do you know a Lysine? She was last seen here. She is my daughter. I was wondering of you saw a vampire or Manticore through here. I have heard that they are extrememly dangerous to normal-forest creatures like you and I.

Abiline swallowed, stamping a hind hoof. "I don't often see humans, if that is what you really are... I haven't seen other humans for a long time, and usually I avoid those who I do see. I have not seen those creatures either lately... and I hope I don't... if you are a human, you should search for your daughter elsewhere. This is awfully close to the Dark Forest, too close for my liking, and the dark creatures live there especially. They can disguise themselves... be aware..." Normal forest creatures? Abiline thought suspiciously. Humans aren't forest creatures...

Reay:
I was sick of this act, and she was useless. I narrowed my eyes and I said "I see then. Would you mind if I travelled with you out of the forest? I saw fire not far off and I don't think you would be able to escape a fire's trap that easily. We aren't that far from the normal forests, and my home isn't that far off from here."

Eric:
I stopped and I heard sounds in the forest. From my training, it was a Manticore. it was a young female one by the sounds of it. She came from the Mermaid coasts by the angle of it. I set off after the Manticore's trail, and hoped that my blade would feel Manticore flesh tonight.

Abiline tapped her back hoof on the ground. Immediately she wanted to say, "No," and gallop off, but that was terribly rude, but what did that matter if it meant she possibly avoided a dark creature? The man had spoken of fire, but Abiline had seen and smelled nothing, and yet if there was, that made it all the more potentially deadly. Abiline mumbled to herself under her breath, then said, "I'm sure I'll be fine. Why? Somehow I doubt you're offering out of the kindness of your heart. Do you want protection or a ride? Is that why you're asking? I'm sorry about my suspicious nature, but... these days, it's dangerous to not have one," she sighed.

Reay-and i'm male, not female-
"I just wish to have someone to travel with. After all, I am a very... lonely person out in these dangerous woodlands. I also understand about your suspicious nature, I know how you feel ever since my daughter was taken by beasts. I refuse to believe that she ran away."

Abiline finally nodded, although she still held her bow. "...Alright then... I suppose I will travel with you... but I will have to leave right away once you get to your home." She set off at a slow walk so that he could keep up, glancing back to make sure he was following.

I kept seeing it look back at me, like it knew. I referred to it's kind as an "it" because I believe them to be lower than me. Night fell, and we were just outside of the Dark Forest. I proposed that we set up camp by an abandoned cave for the night.

I looked up to the tree branches as they swayed a bit in the wind, I still smelled the two hunters. I veered off in a different direction and continued to walk. I still smelled them, and as a matter of fact the smell was getting stronger. I was being followed. I wondered if I could send them on a 'wild goose chase', act in the manner of a fox being chased by game hunters. I shifted into my manticore form and leapt onto the rocks. I leapt into the trees, my rather small form allowing the branches to withstand my weight. I leapt from branch to branch before meeting a small stream. I climbed to the lowest branch of the tree and jumped into the stream before leaping and grabbing ahold of another tree branch. I swiftly climbed up before leaping to another branch on a different tree. I saw some large, good sized rocks jutting out from the side of a small hill. I leapt down onto one before swerving my way through them. I crawled into a small space and hid amongst the rocks. I surveyed the area, looking for spots in the area to use as a swift escape and cover from possible arrows. Now, all I had to do was wait it out.

Abiline stamped a hoof. "Sorry, but there's no way I'm camping here, outside of the Dark Forest. It's way too dangerous... If you want to set up camp, then I'm afraid this is where we part ways. I'm traveling as far as I can away from this place for as long as I can," she said firmly.
