Bloodwhisper lowered his head in shock and he gently pulled his wings away, "O..okay.." He stood up straight and turned away. He didn't fly off though, he just slowly dragged his tail back to camp.

"He doesn't want an apprentice..." She whispered depressedly. "I'm not going back to camp I am staying out here... I knew I was stupid to think someone like him would want to treat a worthless cat like me... thanks though ecospirit..." She wiggled back into her hiding spot curling up choking back a sob.

Bloodwhisper closed his eyes for a long moment. The sun pelting his back. He coughed and stumbled back to the border. He collapsed at a bush. Winged cats can't spend too long without shade or they will loose energy and end up dying, for they are an endangered species.

Nightpaw remembered that. She pelted out of her hiding spot and to him. Her eyes were wide. "Bloodwhisper?!?!?! Please be ok! I'm sorry please I... I will be a good apprentice you are the only mentor I want!" She whimpered dragging him back to camp by his scruff. Her black pelt making her hot and dizzy

Bloodwhisper gently flicked his ear as if he heard what she said. He just let her drag him to camp, his energy draining out of him.

She let out a yowl of pure terror as night paw dragged bloodwhisker into camp. She grabbed wet moss and dashed over to her mate "bloodwhisker!!!" She said looking him over "are u okay?" She pushed the moss towards him "drink this"

She dragged him to the warriors den. "HELP!!!!!!"She collapses

Bloodwhisper coughed and looked at the moss, but he didn't move towards it. Instead he looked up at Nightpaw and smiled weakly, "Thank you..."

He lay still, faintly breathing.
