Tolek silently stalked his way to the outer edges of the field, where he had signaled Jade to go on the opposite side, and waited for Autumn to flush the deer out and into either his or Jade's jaws, or better, both.

Autumn sighed as Tolek and Jade crouched, waiting for her to flush out the deer. "At this rate, we'll have to try somewhere else. None of the deer would have stayed, unless a fawn strayed from it's mother." After a pause, she sighed again and turned to check for fawns.

Jade felt slightly ashamed of herself as she realized her howling had scared away most of the deer. She scanned the area, looking for even the smallest sign of more deer. Her ears twitched as they focused in on the noises of prey.

Tolek grunted and scanned for any deer. He didn't see a deer, but he did see a small moose calf, with a much larger and much more dangerous mother. Flushing would not work on a moose- they were too confident, knowing wolves usually don't attack unless they are fairly certain of sucess.

rennie heard the call to go hunting, but howled back to say she couldn't come, she had a pup to look after. She took it to a small water hole, so it could get a drink.

Thor silently woke up and stood up, streching. He looked around the camp and yawned, letting the sun warm his pelt as he stood there watching the rest of his pack.

The mother moose ignored the howl of Henni. She wasn't afraid. She knew she could easily trample a small pack, though that might put her calf in danger. She starts herding the calf towards the other end of the field, closer to Jade and Autumn than Tolek.

Raknii came up to the Alphas and growled in, what was to his mind, a polite gesture. He dipped his head down once afterwards, and feeling satisfied that he had groveled enough, he sat down and began a report.
"Gijilee pack now has two spies in so far, Kirati and Bavut, and Kuwa has been almost completely overrun with our wolves, and spy Halad is now beta there. Darkri reports having almost finished training this years litter. Not fast enough nearly, but it will be good for later I suppose. Darkri will have to have some punishment though," Raknii growls, tilting his right ear this way and that to make up for the lost amount of hearing in his left ear. "Robru is the only pack yet to not have spies, though I have sent one on his way. He will be good, as most of Robru is female, and they lack pups, and as I have heard from spies in their neighboring Pinewa pack, Tolek has thrown open mating and has allowed all males and females to have pups. He, our spy, shall be good in turning the females to our cause," He finishes roughly, shaking his tail to ge ta mite off of it.

Jade spotted the mother moose, marveling at the size of it. Her ears swiveled in its direction, picking up all the sounds it made. She could tell it was fearless, which worried her.

Natalie listened carefully, taking in all of what Raknii had said. She nodded every once in awhile, agreeing with what he said or to let him know she was following. She glanced over at Thor to see his reaction. "Thank you, Raknii," she politely told the beta. She was glad that the Robru pack was the only threat. "And about Darkri," she said, her eyes narrowing at his name, "You can decide how to punish him."

Darkri tried hard not to listen in as he heard his name being mentioned several times. His ears flattened against his head as he heard 'punishment' along with his name.

Tolek comes out into the open and stares at the moose, daring it to run away. The calf bleats in fear and the mother moose glares at Tolek.

Raknii growled in guttural pleasure.
"Yes, yes...." He looked over at Darkri and walked towards him.
"Darkri, it appears I have a job for you," He growled.
